Senior nurse Karen in a heartbeat. There's a reason she's lasted this long. Not only will she know what ails you before the gets in the room. They are the most experienced, have compassion, but can also kick your self pittied butt back in place without hurting your feelings and you know she/he truly cares. They are the strongest because they have endured old school kick your ass or get out of the class training and education and they know how to get the job done without leaving their work onto the next shift. Migrant nurses and care workers from South-East Asia are top notch. Not only are they skillful, they are also deeply caring as they come from people-oriented, collectivistic communities. People-oriented? Lol. Some of the most racist countries in the world are located throughout Asia. Look it up. Even Wikipedia has an article about racism in Asia. The mongoloid diaspora has centuries of historical track record perpetrating social divisiveness like racism and bigotry towards other human populations outside their continent. Stastically, people prefer healthcare workers from their own ethnic or race group. Top notch workers come from every human population. But to suggest Asian people are top-notch is not necessarily true because the concept of medicine itself, or healthcare professions like doctors, is not an Asian innovation. The foundation for modern westerm medicine practices does not come from Asian civilizations. Greece, Austria, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Canada, Isreal, the U.S., Sweden, and the Netherlands are the top countries in the world that produce some the best doctors in the world. That's not to say Asia does not have an ancient cultural practice of medicine. However, medical procedures like c-sections, amputation, bone setting, vascular surgery, fumigation/douching for gynecological issues, brain surgery, prosthetic dentistry, inducing/preventing labor, circumcision, wound healing, bone dislocation, and treatment of spinal injuries were invented by the African Egypt civilization. Asian scholars traveled to Africa to study. If it wasn't for Africa being repeatedly invaded over tge course of thousands if year, it would be the medical cultural center of the world. Not, Asia or Europe.

One day at a march that was estimated to be in the 10's of thousands, I'm standing front and center of the marching body. Arms locked with the people manning the front line with me. I look to this sweet little white lady locked onto my left arm. And being polite I introduce myself and say "Hi I'm Nay!" It makes my mom (the 35 yr old nurse) so mad, because she likes getting her nails done but doesn’t because of the rules but then sees the gen z people cheating 😂

Fr! Plus from what I know, nail polish is a hazard for patients! ( it chips off and can potentially rip gloves! ) But yeah, stick with the naturals!

Not only do they rip the gloves, but almost all nails like that are hotbeds for bacteria and viruses. 😳

An Alejandro held my hand and chatted about his tattoos while I had my iud replaced with no anaesthetic bc I'm too scared of needles. So I have to- Wait, Marites brought food? Marites it is. ❤

It's a tie between having a male nurse and a Filipino mama. A male nurse literally changes the vibes of an entire unit and can be counted on when things get rough usually. But then there's food and love...
