Yes it does sound like a Beatles song that they could've recorded in 1967/68.

So you are a star okay Nobody knows you like I do And you will go far okay Nobody knows you like I do You've got to love only me You've got to feel only me 'Cause nobody knows you Nobody shows you the way That I do So you are a star , they say Nobody knows you like I do And you play the part, okay Nobody knows you like I do You've got to love only me You've got to feel only me 'Cause nobody knows you Nobody shows you the way That I do I close my eyes Thinking about my tomorrow And then I cry There's no one here To shed a tear for me, oh no So you are a star , oh yeah Nobody knows you like I do And you know you are okay Nobody knows you like I do You've got to love only me You've got to feel only me 'Cause nobody knows you Nobody shows you the way The way Nobody knows you this way

I always think of this being a 'Lennon & McCartney' song as if they teamed up again in '74 (but without George & Ringo) & did this one song! Amazing the vocal styles Paul first & John second. Ok, I know I know -- it's not fair to the Hudson Brothers. But there was a brief moment in time when John Lennon hung out with the Brothers at a So-Cal 'Jack In The Box'.

I remember when this came out, I was a kid in grade school and I thought it was a pretty tune back then. Then forgot about it as they fell out of the limelight & just happened to run across it within the last couple years, and now that I'm old I still think it's a pretty tune.

Rumor has it that this was about Goldie Hawn after she ended with the Hudson brother. before Kurt. And she hated this song thinking it was about her which he denied.
