Hi Jeffrey! Could you do a quick review of the essays-ish questions? Like how did you answer them? Are they like university application essays?

Hi Jeffery, Thank you so much for the great tips! I had a quick question about the peer-to-peer review. Do we get to know if our video moves on to the evaluation round? Thank you so much for your time!

Jeff, love the video and about to submit my first video for the comp ever. Im very behind but I have a question. How do I find the best background music and incorporate it correctly into my video? I want to be able to have something there but I can't seem to figure it out. Also, any tips for audio when recording, I don't have one that clips on your shirt.

Hey Jeff, I am confused about the copyright part. Can I use any stock video or image which is licensable? For example, cam I use videos from Canva? Please shed some light on it.

Hi Jeffery, I hope you are doing well! I just to wanted to ask a question about Breakthrough Junior Challenge from you. Already submitted my video but I wondered. Should I create a new youtube channel from zero or can I share my video on my youtube channel which has 1.91K subscribers? (in order to get more views); There are some gaming, animation videos and etc. May it create a problem? Thank you very much!

Hey Jeffery, I hope you are doing well. You mentioned in an earlier video that if you win the BJC, you get invited to the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, a location filled with leading STEM minds. From your experience at the event, did you make any connections with your idols? If so, how did you go about approaching them?

Hey Jeffrey, I was wondering if we could hire a freelancer to edit our video as long as they give us access to all raw resources

So, I'm doing the Challenge for the first time, and all my peers tell me I can win, but I've seen winner's videos and compared them to my script, and I know I won't on that alone. Any tips/advice on scripting?

Thank you Jeffery, amazing advice! You mentioned adding sound effects, what site did you use for copyright free sound effects? Thanks!
@JefferyChen

I just searched "copyright free sound effects" and they popped up! Some will have you attribute them in the description, but that should be fine.

Jeffery, thanks so much for the video! I had a quick questions, will shooting vertically jeopardize my chances of winning?
@JefferyChen
Жыл бұрын
I personally think shooting horizontally is the best for this kind of competition, as it has a more "film" format than a "mobile" one.

@@JefferyChen Okay, thank you so much for your response! However, there are just hours away, and I don't think I have enough time to reshoot, what would you do? Submit your video with vertically taking scenes?

Hey, Jeff it was wonderful advice. And could you please tell me by what you mean by " hold on to the footage, bla bla files and sources you use" what are these things? I made sure I didn't violate any copyrights so 🤷.

You need that stuff to prove you actually made the video yourself. Keep the messy, uncut footage, sound recordings, animation frames, and I suppose you could also note down where you got your information from.

@@deepfriedcircuit Hello! Could you elaborate more on the "animation frames" ? Would giving the original animation file be enough?
@deepfriedcircuit
Жыл бұрын
@@rockcomet6982 Some animation techniques include drawing all the frames separately and them combining them into a video. I use this to make GIFs. In this case, you should keep the individual images. If you are using a more efficient technique, keep the project file. Blender, Pencil2D, and other software have their own filetypes for saving unfinished animations. Save those files for later. Please note that I am just speculating about these proof requirements, as I have not yet progressed very far into one of these competitions.
