2 years later this interview and advice is so helpful. Love Yasmine, she is so real and appreciates simplicity.

So it seems Yas is as wonderful as she appeared to be. Watched this last night and thought about it a lot throughout the day. I have taken short breaks from social media in the past - it was cleansing but I also ended up not knowing anything going on in the world because its also where I get my news. We should also address how news impacts mental health - its all about the clicks, so most news orgs only publish trash or outlandish stories - it warps your sense of reality. I think I'm going to do a 30 day cleanse as soon as I can find a decent news page to follow.

Why do Americans drag out a story. Just cut to the chase. Yasmine, is fabulous. It is so refreshing to hear a young Actress discuss mental health.

I can see that for Yasmine it has been good to disconnect from social media. The irony is that her work has been extended (NCISHAWAII) partly due to the engagement on social media of her fans(of which I am one). Not saying one side is right or wrong. I guess I will stay part of the #Kacy Twitterverse and give up my time so that she does not have to. 😀

I've dropped out of/deleted most of my social media apps for the reasons you both delineated. It is freeing. I very much appreciated that you both gave each other time to fully explain your concerns and POVs.

I’d love to tell you this. 👇 This is very helpful for me as a teacher. I shared this with my students age 14-18 and they love this so much! This is the great way to navigate them with their daily life and the journey. Like she said it make life brighter when we wait to see and talk to people in person. I also stepped down all my social media too! Of course yeah! My life got better and better. It also makes my students excited to see their classmates each day! And I can feel all those uncomfortable feelings that you both mentioned about their family kinda forced them to see people in real life. Even in Asia, all of these screens addicting happens everywhere. Thank you ❤️🙏

So many of the ideas surrounding social media's benefits and drawbacks come up a lot in my mind without filter, but it's so nice to hear it from another perspective like yours and Yasmine's! Her words and yours help me narrow that medley of thoughts and ideas into something I can better understand and hopefully relay better in a conversation like this one. I really enjoyed this interview and thank you for sharing it!

I feel like yasmine is kind'a grow up in a conservative way, coz I think maybe it's because she has filipina blood. So I understand how she delivers her point of view. And she's trying to say that, live your life like as in live your life the way it should be, go outside do physical activities with kids.
