fantastic lecture! goes into so much depth, I have been stuck on an essay I had to write on two major development theories and I wrote so much off of just erik erikson. I wish you were my professor!

Identity confusion or moratorium would be the antithesis of identity formation. If the former is pervasive into adulthood, impaired identity will lead to personality disorder. PD's can lead to serious impairments, and extreme cases, isolation, hospitalization, homelessness, and at the very worst, G-d forbid, prison.

I didn't hear the positive and negative aspects of stages 5 and 6. What happens if you get an idea of your identity or not? What happens if you have positive love relationships, etc.?

Stage one is about a lot more than whether you were fed good or not. Trust involves many more basic essential and structurally fundamental aspects than whether you made some pretty turds or not,,,DUH>>>

+idessaoutlaw That is not what he said, He used one example for every stage to explain it easier. Read/listen between the lines, work on giving constructive comments too not the immature one you just wrote
