I wish I could! Actually, our school district, I'm SO GRATEFUL FOR, because they don't do that. The 8th graders [my son is in this particular group] that had good grades all year [honor roll or principal's list], had a dance / ball last night, but nothing beyond that really. This past week or two, my son has been telling me about all the movies they've been watching. Our district's teachers [and other school staff] make sure all of the mandatory stuff [according to the state and fed. govt] is out of the way before June starts.

Fantastic info today on the sodium citrate & sodium lactate. You are speedy stamping soaps…I like it. School activities towards the end of the school year are demanding, too many and sometimes necessary. It was an all consuming affair, I’m just glad my kids are past that. ❤️❤️ Take a load off and have yourself a Mega pint of wine. Much love…

As the mother of 7 and a teaching assistant I can guarantee you, we are just as baffled and frazzled as you are😂. Last week was an all day fishing trip, and exceptional track and field day ( I work in special education) for todays fun we walked 15 special needs kids over a mile to get ice cream. I’m not sure who was more exhausted the kindergarteners or the adults. Plus we are moving rooms so we are trying to pack up EVERYTHING while still entertaining and educating… 9 more days… I CAN DO IT!

The end of the year thing……. The tests are cos the government/education departments want the tests/stats to apply for funding for the next year. The field trips are to give other staff members time to write reports. I don’t know about the rest cos they aren’t done in Australia. I may have worked in the school system for a very long time😉. P.S. thanks for this info, perfect timing as usual.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I started using citric acid in my cold process soap and I calculated the extra lye I needed. Some batches turned out perfectly while others turned out crumbly. I was baffled trying to troubleshoot this. After watching your video I realized I was sometimes using sodium citrate and other times using citric acid and all the time adding in the extra lye . They both are in identical bags and I thought I was using citric acid the entire time. Now I separate the bags lol. Thank you,

This maybe a dumb question but for a hard bar can i add a little bit of sea salt in order for the bar to harden or is it mandatory sodium lactate
@MrsSoapAndClay

5:10 Do you stamp the soap when they have just coagulate or how many hours later? 6:00 Is lactic acid the same as vinegar or pickle or different? Is making sodium lactate at home impossible? 6:40 If cold processed soap always slimy, is it because I don't put sodiul lactate in it?
@AlexandraGarcia-ml1gs

Its probably because everyone left it for last minute and teachers need to do certain thing thru out the school year so there evaluation turn out good.

Since sodium lactate is liquid.should I reduce the water measurement by the SL wt. before add lye to the water?

hello to you if l use 380g water how to calculate thé amount of sodium lactete
@gisellahernandez9595
4 ай бұрын
you have to calculate it considering the total amount of oils, not water. 1 to 3%. Let say you have 1000g of oils, you need between 10 to 30 g of sodium lactate added to the lye solution when cooled down .
