had no idea there was a holy city of pokemon! Used to live in Japan and missed the opportunity to go to Korea - but I still want to visit! Unfortunately due to covid etc, I'm stuck in Australia. Not a bad place to be stuck in but I do miss traveling :) I guess I can live vicariously through your vids :) Thanks for sharing! Love your sense of humour; I'm sure your popularity has increased immensely since you did those Korean language vids (not sure why they showed up on my dash as I do speak English as a first language).

@@PotteringAboutinKorea it's more expensive to travel from aust than japan but yeah, definitely wanna go to seoul. i lived in a small town called minakami in gunma (and most people will say where???). didn't pick it - the JET programme did - but it was a damn good location. near tokyo so I spent my weekends there. the only downside; i'm a shit skiier and can't snowboard and i was in a ski and onsen town. i did eventually go skiing in winter every weekend; only coz it was cheap and nearby. now i own a ski suit i never wear and snow boots i never wear. i'm a warm climate lover so tbh i'd pick the warm beaches of sydney over snow any time... though i do sometimes miss the beauty of it!

Off the subject video but just came to think about these expressions after enjoying your quiz on your dad who sound like a fine gentleman indeed. Not so commonly known Korean idiomatic expressions with English equivalents: 아기가 범이 무서운지 모르다 (lit a baby doesn't know a tiger [범 an old and purely Korean word]] is something to fear). Fools rush in where angels fear to tread. 범이 없는 골에 토기가 선생님이다 (lit where there's a valley [골] without tigers, the rabbit is the master [teacher]). In the valley of the blind, the one eye man is king. 팔이 들굽지 내굽지 않다 (lit the arm naturally bends inward[flex] rather than outward [extend]). Blood is thicker than water . or 피가 물보다 더 진하다 ( word for word, blood is thicker than water) and boring and probably a recent addition by someone who wasn't familiar with the true Korean traditional equivalent.
