What a crazy looking car, it looks like a drivable version of Jeannie's bottle from I Dream Of Jeannie.

We had a green 74 when I was a teen and man I loved that car! Although it had the 304, it still had a very throaty sound. I would love to find another!

How Much? I have been a big fan of AMC cars. I owned a 77 Pacer DL and a 80 Pacer DL and loved both and sold the 77 Pacer to a lady friend od mine 9 years ago and she still drives it to work it now has 394,000 miles sold it to her for 400.00. She told me she had the body painted and general maintaince. I've also been a big fan of AMC Matador Coupe and the Pacer. I Love AMC.

1 of 359 made. I had a golden 1 360 v8. Stolen from the original owner, in a high speed chase, and wrecked. My drivers side fender was all bondo, no crease line. Way back in 1996 when I was 21.

Never seen one or knew they existed. One of AMC's more interesting designs of which there were a few. Including the various iterations of the AMX. Or the more controversial Pacer or Gremlin. Sort of a competitor to a Buick Reatta or Chrysler Maserati limited edition cars. I suppose a case could be made for including Ford's last effort with the retro themed Thunderbird.

Those are not the original wheels. They were much better looking and color coded to the body.

Slow or fast, this car has a very unique look compared to all the other entries for that year......Remember GM, Ford, & Chrysler had already started their downsizing.....

Slow? How so? Compared to what? The 360 even in '78 form was not exactly a slouch. In the day this was a nice car. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, I'm always amazed at the AMC doubters and haters because they are usually the ones who know NOTHING about the brand and product. Slow? Compared to an LS6 sure...compared to a '78 LTD/Impala/Cordoba - nope.
