La Fortuna - San Isidro - Ciudad Quesada - San Carlos Dan has been asking me to visit this community for over a year now. The reason I didn't go was because I thought it was more of a thought in someones head A couple homes, plenty of empty lots and a massive gate out front to look like it's something it's not. I was very pleasantly surprised by this community. So nice, quiet, big pool, nicely maintained lots and houses. I would love to live there myself.

Dan has extensive experience (15 yrs) in building construction in Costa Rica. He has managed the building of homes and hotels, so he knows what he is doing. Their may be a few similarities to building in the US or Canada but there's also many considerations one has to think about before undertaking the building of a home in Costa Rica.
Questions/Comments info @TravelCostaRicaNow.com
If you're thinking about living in Costa Rica and certainly building your own home or buying a pre-exiting property, you need to do your homework. And really, before that, if you haven't spent a lot of time in Costa Rica, you should wait at least a year before embarking on purchasing or buying anything. Costa Rica is not for everyone but you must get over the 'honeymoon' period before making a important decision that if made to soon, could have serious financial and emotional consequences. That said, if you been coming to Costa Rica for years and been scouting out locations, talking to lawyers and such and know Spanish, then yes, building could work.
