I have accomplished this with 2 wrap features and a lofted cut. One wrap is for the outside face and the second if for the inside face. First create a sketch on the top plan that coverts the radius of outside and inside radius. Draw a two line extending radially from the center to the outer arc and define them with an angle. This angle with define the arc length of both arcs. Draw lines coincident and tangent to each arc. An end points of each line should be coincident to their respective arc. Make the line equal to the arc length by using arc length dim and equation in the dim for the line. The 2 lines will be used to define the slot sketches for the wrap features. will need a sketch defining cut on the out side face (very much as is shown in this example) then you will

Great video, used this technique to create a cam path, had to use more than one plane and feature for propagation

Thanks just what I've been looking for, and no swept cut doesn't work in this case I have tried :) I wasn't aware of the wrap feature, that will definitely come in handy for other stuff as well.

this is exactly what I need, but then nothing is clear!!

Ive just done this as its almost identical to what i need to do, except the slot does not go through the pipe to the centre. When i model it with a full cut through it worked but when i limit the depth of cut it will not work. Any ideas? I could model it bigger and then add material to get the same end result but i dont think that would be the best way to do it

Why it's not possible to do it in one path ?

Now you can use a sweep cut with a solid profile that can use a single path. kzitem.info/news/bejne/zHykzmxmant7gZwsi=GcwAIsdZzVzXshGA

Sweeps can be made to work in some limited cases. This is a generally reliable method. If I could post a pic, I'd show you the results of a sweep here... it's incorrect.
