Hiked Big Pine a year ago and heading up in a few days. This is one of the best videos I’ve seen…simple, not over produced, just a guy sharing his hike. Great job!

Thank you for sharing. I would have never known this place existed if it wasn't for your video. I will be in that area next week. Even though I am not fit enough to make it all the way to the Glacier, I can surely experience some of that magnificent trail....and I will!

@@diegogomezcana We were there 2 weeks ago. We spent a week in Mammoth lakes acclimatizing to the altitude with shorter hikes. We did a day hike to the 2nd lake. Absolutely gorgeous lakes, scenery, and wildflowers along the way. The last 2 miles on the return trip were challenging on the joints. We will head back to the area to hit a few other hikes we missed. Again, thanks for sharing the video and allowing us to discover the Sierra Nevadas!

It is natural to go up the Moraine overlooking the Glacier. Probably best view of area without going to Ridge/peaks. Go high as you can if not climber. Great pictures

Hey Diego! Awesome video! I am actually planning to camp at Big Pine Lakes next month at the end of Sept. i wonder how low the temp gets? Not sure if my 42 degree sleep bag gotta cut it or not. Also how is the bug situation? Thanks and keep up the good work!

I don't remember exactly but I think the coldest it got was in the high 40's. Not much of a problem with bugs. Hope this helps you and thanks for watching!

It seems to me you are taking risks ( as a solo hiker with no one to help you) that could cause you bodily harm..When you are solo you should not ever go beyond your comfort/skill level. As a solo hiker, from what I've seen, and with no visible means of getting help if you become injured and physically immobile YOU WILL DIE you need a Garmin mini or any type of sat com emergency unit

Diego, show more and talk more about the area. Little too much of your face in the video. You said yourself you don't like to hear other people talk while you are camping, we are the same way.
