This experience was a first for me. I went through a lonely night missing home -- the thought of wanting to share this experience with my wife and kids played through my mind countless times. Well, there's always a first for everything as they say.
Cooking dinner was rushed as you may have noticed lightning and thunder rolling in from a distance. I immediately had to cram all my things in the tent and ate inside. I had fresh tuna sisig and quick salad fix. A beer to cap off the night since I decided to sleep through it, or at least I thought. Wind was causing the tarpaulin to keep flapping on my tent which kept waking me up.
I had plans of capturing a timelapse of a starry night sky, however with some drizzle I just can't risk the camera getting wet, of course.
Far too windy especially in the morning so I had to cook at the back of the SUV, a nice alternative. I had to take shelter at one point inside as light rain rolled in. The glimmer of light leaking through the clouds later on was a welcome sight, I could finally enjoy my pancakes and coffee then with an awesome view. The view here never fails to amaze, I event neglected moving the camera at this point.
Soon after, when the tent was dry I had to take the opportunity to break camp. Also, lunch was fast approaching and I promised my kids I'd be home to have lunch with them.
Drone clips I used here were from our first trip here, my wife and I. It was right before the recent month and a half long lockdown took place -- weather was more favorable then.
