Awesome video!!!! I’ve been hunting, trapping and fishing for over 50years. They are some of the best I’ve ever seen on KZitem. Please stay at it!!!!!!

Love you video and watching just how much joy it brings to you. At least you where not lonely while you where out there. At least the Grey Jays kept you company. Those grouse must have been spruce grouse as they are not easily scared that you could probably go up to it and catch them by hand. The other grouse spook at the littlest sound or movement...lol Just one thing that maybe you could incorporate into your videos is at the end of them you could show and remind everyone to put your fire out completely. Something simple like that may be all that is needed to remind folks to make sure their fires are completely out. Would be a great teaching idea I would think. I know that it was the winter time and there is no worry about forest fires but just doing that on every video could make it a habit for people to make sure to check the fire place when leaving. I have always done that because I was taught to do just that. Other then that awesome video and can't wait to see what you have in store for us next time. Cheers and beers from Nova Scotia.

Loved this video. Bunch of things I noticed and liked: you don't use the fanciest stuff. Most of what you use I could get from Canadian Tire. 👍🏻 You don't eat with your hat on. I can't eat with a hat on either. I guess we were both raised right. (I'm always surprised by how many guys now eat with their lids on...)👍🏻That little drill powered auger looks like the ticket. I must get myself one. 👍🏻 I also really liked the idea of sleeping in the sled... But I'm sure I wouldn't fit. 😕 Great video - thanks for sharing it with us. Really enjoy the channel.

With leaves and flowers bursting all around, a winter camping video isn’t the best timing, but hey, there aren’t too many guys our age doing this kind of video, so it’s all good. I see a lot of people using worms in the winter. Where I fish, in upstate NY, or my home around southern Quebec, most fish, or at least white and yellow perch, turn off worms, and we use grubs. They go mad for them, and sometimes we use the eyes of the ones we caught. Have you ever tried them? It’s just a little scent and taste to cover a small ice fishing lure. Oh,I just got a bivy sack today. Dutch military surplus. Can’t wait to try it out this fall.

I love your videos my friend and I've done this stuff a million times but please stop it with the new climate comments. I'm 65 years old and winters have been unpredictable in NL for as long as I can remember.

I don't care if your 100, the climate and sea level around my wharfs and stages are 100% changing, warmer and the sea level is rising, we've had to raise our stage level twice now since we fished back in the 90s, we're here watching it year after year, unpredictable weather is not in question here, we're talking about climate, big difference.
