Try doing a 1500 mile bicycle tour/ride not knowing where the next night sleep will be at. What I was doing 2 years ago this summer, slept on the grass at the edge of a truck stop parking lot 2 years ago tonight, following night a picnic table, night after that a closed down car wash, best night was under a turbine windmills on a dirt road on a stack of plywood. Didn't pitch a tent until I got to Nebraska a week later, ( 5th week of the trip) slept outside under the stars. Oh yeah one night in a tree, 3 coyotes had me trapped up there. Chelsea Iowa.

My mom totally 'got it' and would come with me sometimes. Later on tho she started freaking out because I ramped up and got kinda' extreme. It was the adrenaline rush I was chasing. Many years ago I dared myself to check out this old abandoned house several miles out of town. Wasn't a big house but still forboding. I remember walking up to the front of the house which had no porch anymore but you could still peek inside the door. It was a quiet summer night. The house was in pitch black. I remember calling out,..."Hello????? Is there anybody in here?" Nothing. The second time however I heard the sound of footsteps at the other end of the house that seemed to be getting closer. Needless to say I ran to my car and sped out of there as fast as I could! Lol! At the sametime though it was fun. Scary but fun! Awesome videos!!!!!💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕💕

Just an FYI Brennen, I'm not sure if you by chance have a tarp or a footprint for under your tent. If not I'd advise picking up a cheaper lighter tarp to throw under it to keep the bed of your floor warmer and dry, much easier to pack up if you don't have to dry off your gear before you head out. It would help in a pitch and ditch situation like this, especially if you're outside. It saves much wear on your gear! As always, great work with your video here guy, always astonished how much content you manage to fit into these videos by yourself. Edit: spelling, forgot a letter in there somewhere.

I just found your channel... i am hooked 😊. You are a very brave young man. Not enough money to convince me to stay there. My stomach was on knots watching you go around down stairs...I would not be able to find my way back...😳😖😱

I was reading an article about history of this what was to be beautiful mansion. Sadly the 2009 economic downturn halted the construction. Last sale: In 2010 the property was listed for sale at $25,000,000. The owners defaulted on taxes but at very last minute they paid the $1 million dollars in back taxes. I always wonder how beauty goes to waste in our current times. Awesome video!! (The floor looks like it could had been set up for the older "floor warmers").

I would first probably try and figure out why they were there, if they were just taking pictures then most likely they would have been friendly, but if they were looting, or shooting up drugs, then I would probably try and avoid them as I would look like quite the payday to them with all of my camera equipment lol

I hope people appreciate the extreme difficulty in filming "Les Stroud Junior"-style, as well as the production value. Truly excellent work. The best I've seen of this genre. Couple suggestions if I may. One, getcha some tall rubber boots. Even if you don't mind your feet getting wet, you could get an infection from hazmat stuff that might be swimming in standing water. Second, I would LOVE to see night vision rolled into your system. Third, when you leave your camp to explore, leave a GoPro aimed at your tent. You can stick it anywhere with that thick double sided VHB tape. I have a feeling somebody or something might check out your stuff in your absence.
