I genuinely appreciate that mindset of "your baby is not gonna remember the mess" that you mentioned with the laundry, my mom is a single mom and she found that mindset herself as well. and NO!! it does not mean that you are a horrible mother or person or ANYTHING that laundry piled up over the course of travel, its normal and totally ok and it is so much more important that you are present with your child and I can so clearly see that you are so there for him and that he gets so much love from you. You are doing great Julie!!

Living in America it just blows my mind at the baby staying outside. I think it's amazing that you live in such a safe area that this can be done. I love that so much for all of you living in Norway. I wish it was like that everywhere in the world. 😊

Bro if kids walk home in Australia they can literally be kidnapped. And the crime rate recently has also been increasing. The law is failing us all. Just the other day they allowed a guy on meth who ran over 4 police officers, to go off without any jail time, and only have to do like 100 hours of community service or something. Ridiculous.@@NocasCC18

I could not agree more with the "kids should get to dress like kids" mindset!! Wear anything and everything, all at once, have fun, be loud!! When I was little my favourite thing to wear was a dress my grandma made me, with buttons in the shapes of strawberries, and shorts sewn on the inside so I could still move and run and play and climb!

I just needed to tell you from one mom to another heck from one human to another you and other single parents will always be looked up to by me.. your child will know so much strength simply by just having you as a parent.. ok ok hopefully I didn’t step over any boundaries just felt like I needed to let you know I was sending good vibes your way.. ❤

my super random tip/idea for the hair-grabbing: in many hospitals the preemies get these little crochet-octopus plushies, the tentacles are something for them to hold onto, so it calms them. in hospitals it prevents them from pulling at their IVs or NG-tubes, but ig it could work in preventing or reducing hair pulling….. (and they are pretty easy to crochet with some official templates online, just use 100% cotton (eg Schachenmayr Catania) and normal „plushie stuffing“ put into a nylon stocking. you can wash it and give it to him)

Getting overwhelmed and having to slow down and knowing what is important (not the laundry pile) is key to feel better for all of you. I must admit i do not miss the times when i had to buy clothes every month cause he was growing so fast out of them. You are doing great and lots and lots of us moms have been in your shoes. Every mom in their own situation has things that are harder for them, but in my experience the drain from breastfeeding is real. It honestly is one of the things in my life, looking back, that I am so glad I did, and as a whole, really enjoyed. But that doesn’t change that it is a physical and also mental drain sometimes. Its one of those phases that can have lots of hard moments, but you can really miss when it’s over. Also, no judgement on the laundry/xmas decorations! I have had to really work hard to let go of my house being perfect since I had kids. The kids grow up but there will always be laundry. Do your best, and that is enough! Spending time on your family is so important too!

Oh my gosh, you can leave your most prized possession outside and its (he*) there when you return!, this surprised me so much (and in no way am I judging, just inquisitive). It amazes me you can leave your baby outside there! It's that safe there. In the US, we can't leave so much as a jug of milk outside or it would be gone in a blink of an eye! I know baby is covered and cozy in his stroller, but in the US (east coast) it's possible a big hawk or turkey buzzard could steal a baby too! Again, I'm not judging, just amazed at how different (and crappy) the USA is from your beautiful country ! And your doing a kickass job momma!

I think having one goal and prioritizing spending time with Sunny are the best things you can do for you and him. took me a while to figure out how to make fluffy cinnamon rolls. my mistake was spacing them out, so they just dried out. i had to cut wide slices, so they’d stand tall and the put them in a tall, smaller container, so even while rising they’d touch each other. that way the sides and inside maintained their fluffyness
