Thanks for watching the video and I appreciate all of your support! Riding in the congested streets of NYC is definitely crazy, even for us locals, but it’s something that you just get used to 🤣. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to give an opinion on the DT3 because I’ve never ridden it. From what I’ve heard from other riders is the ride comfort/ suspension of the Nami is in a class of its own. It’s also nice that the namis are IP rated and I would say the most balanced riding experience. However, if you live in an area where it doesn’t rain much and the roads are great, none of that really matters lol. I hope I can test a DT3 one day so I can properly speak on a comparison like this, however, my confidence in Nami is high and I believe they make the best all round scooters. I’ll be celebrating 2years with my Nami in 3 months and I’ve loved every minute of it! I know this isn’t the info you’re looking for but I hope it helps! Best thing you can do is try to go to a group ride or a retailer so you can try both and ask the owners what they think. Good luck with your search! 👊🏼safe riding out there

@@eyebahnrides Hey Ivan, This reply is so long overdue so please forgive the delay. Thank you for your detailed and informative info concerning the Nami. Watching your videos, I know you've a lot of experience with them and enjoy yours. I may purchase a second scooter this year to accompany my Thunder II and although the Thunder III is looking good, I'm not sure it makes a compelling case for me to purchase. If for no other reason, variety makes sense and with the Burn-e Max, it seems there's a lot to appreciate. You and so many others have praised the ride quality of the Nami and it may actually be a nice diversion from the Thunder II's square wave ride. I enjoy the Thunder II but it took a while to get used to and I dare say, a couple tumbles but that's just me. Over time, I found a great sweet spot in the combination of settings that worked. I actually had to start with most settings dialed back and increased them over time until I was satisfied. Learning the feel of the DTII's throttle, along with 'Body Physics' are to me, the keys to mastering and enjoying it. I tested the Nami at Fluid Free Rides in Miami and although I'd have to tune it to my riding style, it was immediately more smooth in acceleration due to the sine wave controller. The small 'dead spot' was no issue. I'd have to get used to the higher bars as well. So yeah, I'll likely join you with a Nami in the future. I've compared experienced riders like your self and others in your videos and found that riding the Nami seems a more relaxed experience than the Dualtron 'big boys'. This isn't a knock to Dualtron as their products and service are excellent in my experience and highly recommend them. I just see that folks who like to totally interact and like tinkering with their scooter, move toward the Dualtrons. Just my opinion of course. I'm not a hard core rider so Nami should be a great new experience. I'll note that based on all the reviews, the Nami can really deliver on speed and a lot of power when needed; and of course, the long standing IP rating speaks to their experience. I saw you unleash some of that power when you went through a tunnel in one of your videos - powerful indeed. I'm very far away from NYC but the traffic here can be just as 'hectic'. No group rides here yet but may start a group eventually. I've only seen 2 "Beast Scooters" here, including mine. You never know, if I purchase the Nami and can get it to the NE, we could possibly link up for a ride. Always good to exchange ideas and experiences. It makes the scooter experience that much more enjoyable. Thanks so much again and keep the great videos coming when you can, I watch them from start to finish and smile when I see parts of NY that I knew long ago. It's still the most amazing city on earth for me. Please be Safe and Have Fun Thanks!

Hahaha I'm glad you enjoyed it Domingo! It was insane and very sketchy most of the time lol. I found them through this group that I'm in on FB called " NJ PEV Group Rides". My homie ErockRodz is an admin of that page and someone from that group let us know about this ride hosted by the S3Crew. I'm not in any of the "Groups" like ECS/ S3/ Gotham Bikes/ ESG etc as a member, but I would consider joining one. It just seems like it requires alot of time to be a member, and I'm not ready to make that kind of commitment with work being so crazy. I'll do my best to make it to another ride because it seems that everyone really enjoyed seeing the video ( i had a good time as well even though I couldn't stay for the whole thing)! The Nami definitely kept up with the insane ebike builds! If I were you, I'd just stick to the Nami and Ebike! I know a few hardcore Dualtron guys making the switch to the Klima and Burn E because of the ride quality, IP rating, and they loved the way the controllers/ motors ride. As for the ebikes, just make sure your building and work building is cool with it. I'm hearing quite a number of buildings/ landlords banning them. I love my Super73 but I might have to swap it out for a Onyx LZR in the future because it doesn't look like an "ebike". As always, I appreciate ya chiming in!

It was interesting to so many e-bikes and so few scooters and uni's. Clearly they seem to be the choice there, is there a reason for that preference? I'm sure they are better on the crap roads, although less mobile in the cramped city. Which is faster?
@eyebahnrides
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and welcome back! The reason that the group was so Ebike heavy is because the hosts of the ride, the S3 Crew, are predominantly ebike riders. If I ever ride with ESC (east coast scooters), you'll see it heavy on hyper scooters. The ebikes are definitely better on the crap roads of NYC but super scooters like the nami with the 11 in tires and soft suspension definitely make it easier to ride. The Nami was definitely quicker than the ebikes because of the smaller tires and the dual motors. As a daily commuter, I think scooters are faster because we can navigate the tight spaces better than the ebikes. However, I think they have us on the large roads because they can ride up there and blend in with traffic. If a scooter or EUC gets on those main roads, were gonna be on social media going viral lol. There was an ebike that kept up with my Nami (with out the turbo on). There was a part of the video where JB360 and I smashed our throttle at the tunnel entrance. We both came out the other side around the same time but I felt like he was pulling away in the beginning.

I follow a few groups on IG so that I can stay on top of the rides in NYC, check out the following: -She_Wolves_NYC -LastMilePEV -S3CrewNYC -Gotham_ebikes -Super73NewYork By following them, you should see most of the major group rides. I think I have the Charge 4 cus it's pretty old and I use the co2CREA Portable Speaker Mount from Amazon. I think it was $14.99 when I ordered it.

I just bought my 1st electric scooter. Got me the Nami Burn E 2. I had a GoPed before but didn't want to deal with the mix of gas and oil. Hey question. How long do these scooters last per ride?

Hi BigBlue, thanks for watching the video and welcome the channel. Congrats on the Burn E2 as your first escooter, thats a hell of a way to get into this hobby lol! There's alot of variables that will affect your range. Things like : 1. Average Speed and riding style 2. Rider Weight 3. Temperature 4. Tire compound + PSI 5. Terrain you're riding in I'm about 215lbs with all my gear and usually go about 40-50 miles between charges. I'm sorry I can't give you a more definitive answer but I hope this helps!

I know how you feel. I hate that bridge and I did a video on exactly how come I hate that bridge
@eyebahnrides
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video! That bridge is terrible for us PEV riders. They really only meant to have light bikes that you can basically carry go up those things. I can't imagine trying to get a big EUC or a heavy ebike up that ramp lol. I'll check out your vid on it. Thanks for chiming in!

@@eyebahnrides dude, I took my mantis up there. All was good until I passed the first tower and those fences weren’t there anymore and then I realized that that side banister is only about 4 feet and I’m about 7 feet on the scooter was hilarious. Caught a panic attack up their road at 5 miles an hour and only went to Queens. Then realized I had to go back to the Bronx cause I live in that area. all I saw when I was going up that bike path was sky in this road that didn’t lead to nowhere which was hilarious to me. They need to put a fence on the bridge just like the GW bridge.

How do you have the 360 mounted is it just stick out the top of your backpack?
@eyebahnrides
Жыл бұрын
Hey Jeffrey, thanks for watching the video! I appreciate ya. I have those Chrome backpacks with the roll top. I have the camera on the selfie stick fully extended coming out of the top of the bag. The bottom part of the selfie stick is wedged into the "computer slot" in the main compartment and all my stuff keeps it from moving around. It's a bit of a makeshift build because I didn't want to spend on the backpack mount lol.

Ahh no worries man. I don't want to mention the exact company or industry because I don't want people randomly showing up at my building trying to jack my ride lol but I'm a sales professional in an industry that produces highly technical and complex mechanical products.

So how is New York did it get more bad or is it still good to visit
@eyebahnrides

NYC will always be NYC lol. I don't think it's any better or worse than before. Just like any city, it's more about being aware of where you are and what's going on around you. I just think all the craziness is more visible nowadays because of KZitem and Social Media.

Hey mate ! Have you changed the thumb throttle or it is my idea? I didn't get the nami burn e2 max coz of that reason!
@eyebahnrides
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video, I appreciate ya! I didn't mind the original thumb throttle but I did change it out. I wanted something that gave me finer control and the trigger throttle I use now is amazing. If you're on facebook, I suggest joining the Nami group and you can see the throttles we use! I hope this helps!

@@cinogt4982 When you get into the Nami Group, search for "Polish Throttle" and it'll populate. Just keep in mind it needs to be soldered. Ralf's post in the group has a photo of the set up. He's a nami dealer and an expert on the scooter!

It would’ve been nice to have another Nami in there! We had 3 burn Es and 2 Klimas. I’m not sure when I’ll be going on the next group ride. I got lucky that weather changed the ride from Saturday to Sunday. I always work Saturday but I’m off on some Sundays. I’m in the NJ PEV Group Rides on FB. If you join there just let them know I sent you and they’ll get you in

Is that bike ramp only on the queens side? I'd probably turn around and took the 59st bridge 🛴👍🏼

Hey Rob, those ramps are on the Randalls side and on the Queens side. I didn't think there would be 6 sets of stairs on the bridge lol. I thought that once I got past those first 2 ramps it was smooth sailing. I had to cut out all the cursing from the ramps hahaha
