Show us how you launch and trailer your boat solo. Add that as part of your videos. That would make a longer video with interesting content for us boat owners.

Ever try using lures that you would use in the rivers (Silvertrons, Kwik Fish, Brads superb Baits). They catch salmon in the rivers, why not in the Oceans.

I second that. Brad’s and shortbus spinners are killers for ocean trolling behind flasher.

Cool solo limit. Have you considered pulling a flasher or hookless umbrella rig on your second downrigger when solo fishing? Might increase the fish attraction but also means more stuff to fuss with and yet another item that could tangle up when trying to land the fish while solo.

Nice work! Food for thought…. Setting your drop back closer (10 ft) you might find a better hook up ratio because there will be less slack when the fish pops the clip.

Hey Chris, been watching your videos for a while and I really like your content. I typically fish from the rock jetties in Port Costa and only catch strippers and jacksmelt. I’d love to catch a huge salmon.

Good job, bummer that second fish pulled the hooks, that appeared to be a guaranteed big one. Any chance of you being out there next Thursday or Friday? You have me thinking I may need to give it another try weather permitting. Fully enclosed cabin with a heater if it gets too snotty for your boat…

Solo trips can sometimes be the best, or most productive I've found. But nothing beats 30 minutes before sunrise (shooting time) sitting in the duck blind when birds are dropping into your pond from all around. Sunrise on the ocean is great... but sunrise in the duck blind... nothing beats it ;-)
