Thanks for this video! I’m looking to book Cape Verde this summer. What hotel did you stay in? And would you recommend?
@veryvalerie__

The hotel by the beach is Odjo D’agua and yes I would recommend especially because the wi fi works consistently unlike a lot of other hotels, there are others that are more expensive like the Hilton which are also near the beach

Not sure if I missed it, but what airports must we transit to get to Sal? Do we fly to mainland and connect, if so what country?
@veryvalerie__

Hey so I’m in the UK and there is direct flights through TUI from all airports to my knowledge. If you’re doing a connecting flight then you’d usually stop off in either France or Portugal

@@ATLsOwn no problem, so yeah you’d probably stop over in France or Portugal then head to Sal BUT, if you see the option to go to Santiago which is the largest island and home to the capital which is Praia, I would recommend there too. If you want more chill and beach’s Sal, but if you want more night life and more to explore Santiago is the place

👩🏽🦱 I’m from the United States, and I am NOT a Christian. 😂 I am spiritual and believe that God is the great white light. 🇺🇸 Cape Verde is in Africa. It’s an African island. However, most Cape Verdeans do not know that. Neither do most Cape Verdeans want to associate with Africa, even though they are Africans with African customs, and most Cape Verdean women do not respect the Senegalese salesmen in Cape Verde. They call Senegalese men a derogatory name. Also, most Cape Verdeans do not know about African Americans. They think that we are Africans who recently moved to the United States. 😂 (I learned that when I watched KZitem videos of Cape Verde by Willie Fungo.) All of that blows my mind, as we say in the U.S. We also say that “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.” A good educational system and educational KZitem videos watched by Cape Verdeans will cure their lack of knowledge.

Countries don’t own islands. Islands belong to countries.
