Hi SteveO- thanks for tip. Have a commercial to do in a couple days in Spokane WA & its cold. On the high flow upgrade- I like to run a 100' of the small yellow hose off the 3/8" blue hose because I saw you doing that in a video. So all last season I had 1" diameter hose from truck to spigot - 100' of garden hose - and then 200' of the 3/8th hose and then 100' of the yellow small hose. I commented on WCR post and was told that not recomended. Well, I am glad it worked for a whole season before it didn't work:) I upgraded and am going to test flow, and I may just run 100' of 3/8th hose with a quick connect. I didn't lose any flow power with set up I just mentioned that I noticed- but its a real pain rolling the 1" ID hose up and I wanted to change it. I will test. The idea is "nothing off the truck but the pole" I will test all this, but I was hoping to go to 100' of 5/8" flexilla for my garden hose. What do you think?

So you use regular garden hose of the system pure water outlet?

No, sorry I was not clear. The 1" id garden hose runs off a reel in back of truck to spigot. The hose off the reel has quick connect to Xero Pure Another quick connect runs a 3/8" hose to another reel with two 100' lengths of 3/8" hose screwed together to make it 200' Then I have 100' of small yellow hose. I did first season taking the Zero in & out of mini truck I took passenger seat out of! So second year (last year) It was set up nothing leaves truck but water pole. First year I just had the lil yellow hose that came with 30' xero pole, & 100' of 3/8" hose. I never noticed any difference in flow! I will test this year with new high flow set up- I got that idea from one of your videos where you just had a hundred foot of 3/8 toes and then 100 ft of the yellow hose on that So that worked good it must be because we have good water pressure and I'm using that one inch ID hose to feed from the spigot. That's a nice house but it's super heavy and a b**** to roll all the time. So I'm going to test and see if I can get same results with 5/8 inch feed hose from the spigot Also, I'm probably going to put a quick connect between the two 100' lengths of the 3/8 hose, because 200 ft from the truck is usually enough. I did have one job with a big stairway in the back of the house with deck glass on the side where I actually use that much length, but otherwise unnecessary and I may get a little better flow with just the 200 ft from the real. When I set it up I'll let you know how it's working I learned so much from your videos thanks man! I really need to get the trad pole down for the big storefront windows and try to be able to fan with the pole still learning but good money man love it! Thanks again Hopefully that description is a little clearer

Круто! 👍 Мы в России когда моем зимой добавляем в воду изопропиловый спирт, стоит он у нас не дорого и концентрация подбирается под температуру. Так же добавляем средство для мытья посуды.

I'm still operating up here in Montana and this video makes me feel a little less insane. My exteriors this time of year revolve around cold temps so I try to follow the sun around the home. I've had interior french panes freeze up on me due to below 0 temps outside this week. Warmer temps in the forecast! Thanks SteveO!

This is actually a very good service, especially for store fronts, because window panes get very dirty during the winter + you can charge much more for the work, because there's practically nobody cleaning exterior windows during the winter.

Nice tips as always Steve-O. Just had a question regarding doing jobs in the winter. Do you do anything extra when the windows are caked up in road salt? I always worry that applying windshield fluid with a scrubber would start to scratch the glass.

Typically its only bad on the lower frames, so I will use a brush it off before scrubbing, that stuff can also make solution streak a lot more

Great video. I live and work in Norway. I use anti freeze / isopropyl in the water down to -10c. Works well and it does a good enough job to make the window shiny. Customers are happy and that’s all that matters. 👍😃 I’ll work to -10c any colder and it’s not much fun working. 🥶

My least favorite moment of the entire year is that first time it just hits the temp threshold of seeing ice on my blade. The calls dry up along with my sanity, so it kind of works out. I like keeping the windshield fluid in a spray bottle so it doesn't evaporate as fast, and so liquids don't get anywhere near my gloves.

The worst part about it all is your gloves getting so cold and wet and having to use thicker and less flexible gloves.

Steve-O thanks for this ! Here in Central Texas we’re getting an arctic cold front blowing through here and so besides bad drivers, I was wondering what ratios we are gonna need as we will be in the 20’s and teens for 2 days. This is exactly what I needed to know. Your vidz are super helpful.

I use denatured alcohol with WW fluid and water. Low soap content is key. The Denatured Alcohol is expensive but works well and gives you a better result than Washer fluid

@@SteveOthewindowcleaner I feel it will be a situation type tool. I don't see me using it everyday use. I don't wish they would have used a button release instead of the flip switch. So I'll be using it Tuesday and give it a spin.

Don't forget to ware quality waterproof gloves that do not soak over time - this stuff is very bad for your skin.
