Oh my gosh, Justin, you and your videos bring such JOY into my life! I laughed at this vlog I don't know how many times, and, I know I hadn't laughed that much in a week! Solvang has always been a very favorite place of mine, so unique! I've never been at Christmas time. If I get to visit I'll remember to go during the day and stay throughout the evening!!! Thanks for another great vlog!!! 🌼

It's been a looooong time since I've been to Solvang but I do remember going through all the shops. Another family tradition was heading over to "Pea Soup Andersen's" in Boulton for dinner or lunch. The only pea soup I ever liked and the rest of the food was top notch as well. Thanks for bumping a few of my memory cells.

I hate and love the fact that you did this video because I moved to Miami 4 years ago and sometimes I miss going to Solvang. I grew up in a little town called Lompoc and Solvang was always a place to go when relatives came or when I wanted to relax and just walk around. They have so many activities throughout the year. Watching this made me a bit homesick of the area I grew up in. Just seeing the little Solvang streets I used to walk and the shops and well, everything about this video. Watching it made me feel like I was there. Thanks for sharing your Solvang winter wonderland experience. Definitely made me miss home for a bit.

You can also visit Mission La Purísima Concepción. It looks like a early California movie set with authentic structures filled with furniture and relics you can walk around and sit on or touch. It is a very large property with lovely walking trails. Just before Solvang there is a short hike to Gaviota Wind Caves overlooking the sea. Short steep hike and fantastic cave views. Don't forget the wine tours like Fess Parker Winery & Vineyard. Also this aria is were the Spanish moss starts to appear on the trees. A lovely thing to see.

Loved the video Justin. I was in Solvang last in 2019 before the plague. I stayed at the Chumash Casino and Hotel which is just down the main road from the center of Solvang. I was comped so I don’t know the rates but I’m guessing it may be cheaper than some of the more touristy places. Maybe not but it’s certainly close and nice.

Those Little Gnome fellers are often sold as Gonks here in the UK, I've got one I terrorise the Mrs with every year. I love places like Solvang (although I've never been), much of our Christmas markets mimic Scandinavian and Germanic traditions so I'll often raid the goodies.

I thought Arne's Aebleskiver closed down?!? I've been trying to contact him for 2 years for his Aebleskiver pan but his store, online and physical shop aren't working to contact any info for the pan he sold. I'm going to have to try contacting the Solvang Restaurant to find if I can still get one of his pans. 🤔 ETA Went to the Restaurant's website but still can't get Arne's 9-hole Aebleskiver pan. I'm going to call them. What's up with that?
