Love the recommendation, always good to dig back through your videos and find gems, a fellow true admirer of a well curated music catalogue like your own. The Passions are amazing and on the forefront of that chorus-y sound along with bands like Felt, I was surprised i had never heard of them (love the pastels as well) Thanks Dereck!

Holy Smokes Dereck! You have one of the best collections I'm happy that I have 2 to 3 records from those bands but you have so many. I look up to you and your collection, man I have a long journey to find all those but that's what it's all about. For myself anyway Cheers to you, Brandon

Big fan of Hawkwind, saw them 5 times and have a ton of vinyl autographed by Dave. I have all of the Eloy including a mint copy of the first one...the 80's stuff too, including the picture discs... Have all the Camels.. And I have most of the Passport, except the later stuff....now big into bootleg recordings by all those bands, tons available if you know where to look. You have an incredible collection !!!

You know what fascinates me more than anything? How you can go directly to the album that you want to find without hesitation. I mean that is one heck of a wall of records. > You used to write your name on your albums too I see. I used to use one of those P-Touch label makers and stick the tape with my name on the back of the album jacket. I mean how lame could I be as a teenager? What a nerd I was and so stupid to deface my original Beatles albums. Loved seeing the Camel and Caravan Dereck. I really enjoy when you do these collection pulls. Good to see you~ Daddy P/Boston

The golf girl, her name was pat... and she sat under a tree. My favourite album by caravan. You always surprise me with your vast collection. I recently managed to pick up a copy of the first album by Manfred mann chapter 3. Don't tell me ... you have it. I would not be at all surprised. Take care dude.

@dereckvon

stewart conacher Records used to be manufactured en mass. When titles wouldn't sell by a certain date they were returned to the labels who then resold them in bulk to wholesalers. The cut corners or punched holes on the covers indicated the record was not to be sold at full price, a cut out.

Okay, I can't help but think this video is partly in response to my last reply. Guilty. I haven't scoured through your previous videos to any great extent. I mentioned some bands you've already showcased. Pardon me. How about your musical equipment. An audiophile such as yourself must have some premier audio equipment. Care to share?
