Some new photo books I've picked up that explore documentary photography. Books include 'Message From The Exterior' by Mark Ruwedel, '45' by Damian Heinisch, and 'A1 - The Great North Road' by Paul Graham. So I have a few books here, some are from more famous contemporary photographers and some are lesser-known photographers, but they’re equally just as interesting. So I’m just going to flick through these and briefly talk about some of the themes they explore, what I liked about them, and some of the smaller layout details like the paper quality and materials and all that, which will hopefully give you a rough idea of whether these books might interest you. I’m not going to go super in-depth because I think photobooks are such a personal thing, and I wouldn’t want to take that experience away from someone by telling them what they should know, but hopefully, this will be a good starting point.
So most of these are all documentary photography focused, which is the same kind of photography I am interested in, but in the future, I definitely plan on looking into other areas like fashion, landscape, and fine art photography to try and change up my inspirations and have a more rounded approach to consuming photography styles.
