Not gonna lie, it pretty much looks EXACTLY how my own custom dream guitar would look. You definitely paid your dues and deserve it. Props to cutting away from the lower horn, thats majorly important and a good deciding factor for me, as my big hands don’t do well on a typical strat body.

These specs and design were really well thought out. Perfect for snappy articulation i reckon. The ss frets, roasted neck, fingerboard, carbon fiber reinforcement make me think this is really reliable in variable climate too. Well done.

So far I"m loving this guitar. As a drummer first and foremost, I won't be playing, nor do I have a desire to "shred". I'm primarily playing rhythm, and need two tones. Super articulate, tight balanced, crips bridge pickpup (EVH, Warren DiMartini), and then in the neck/middle (Texas blues). I was thinking of a tele with a Chopper in the bridge with one pickup selctor switch, and a volume knob. Or, even the Henrik Danhage is a bit like that. But, this guitar is very intriguing with the high-end pickups. And, it's beautiful.

Hi Rick, it's a very beautiful guitar! But I have a huge request for you. One of my all time favorite videos on KZitem is your Killer Shred Technique video. I also love the Blues Shred Improv. One of my biggest dreams is for you to publish another long format shred video where you just go ALL OUT for maybe 5 minutes. A sort of Killer Shred Technique 2.0. I propose to call it something like "Break the Internet Shred Guitar". Pull out everything you've got, I wanna see it ALL. It's an opportunity to really showcase this beautiful guitar. You can do it :) But will you do it?

Congrats! About time a manufacturer picked you up and I couldn’t be happier that it’s Charvel! Now I’ll have a new Charvel for Christmas, in my thumbnail is my Charvel ‘87 model 5 also have the first year ‘86 first released with a Kahler trem and the Angel Vivaldi, I was eyeing up the Govan this year but my Ibanez Jems and Paul Gilbert signature have the same pickup config as the Govans and now that Charvel has a RG offering it’s a no brainer.

Love it.. Beautiful axe Rick...Amazing neck...I want one badly but I did have issues with my 510 and that would be my only issue...I've owned so many guitars with Floyd's and Ibanez trems it was hard to play my Charvel with the 510 and always have to be careful...Felt way to restricted in my playing...Wilkinson has saddle screw lock that helped a lot...I can't help but wish they offered the guitar with a choice in tremolo..Thanks 4 all you do Rick

Congrats man, looks great and you're totally worthy of having a signature model. I would've opted for a maple neck and maybe birdseye maple on the the fretboard. Pairs better with that celeste body color imo and it would give you that extra brightness you are looking for. Ash also is a nice bright wood for bodies, but a little heavier, which I prefer. Then again, I'm not much of a shredder anymore, so being light isn't as important to me.

Hey Rick, I've been following you from your early days with iguitar and have been blown away by your metamorphosis - both with health and guitar. You are an inspiration - full stop. Charvel seems to be making many waves with yourself/Guthrie etc and this is a serious contender for my next guitar. The locking tuners/stainless steel jumbo frets/roasted neck/individual pickups are the way to go. Now, where's my wallet. :)

Holy-Moly, here in Canada they want close to $3,500 CAD for one of these fairly standard HSS Strat-types! For that price, Mr. Charvel himself had better be hand-carving these out of his own heirloom furniture.

Can you tell us anything about the specifications of the Bare Knuckle pickups in the guitar? I tried one at a store and was very impressed with the sound. I also thought it was a satin finish when viewed from a distance. It was not until I played it that I noticed it was gloss.

I'm a big guy (height and mass) so I've always steered clear of smaller guitar bodies because, well, they look a little ridiculous on me (think Chris Farley singing, "Fat Guy In Little Coat"). I've avoided the Dinky series because I know it's smaller but someone recently told me the bodies are only slimmer from side to side (meaning from the 6th string side to the 1st string side - if that makes sense). Can anyone verify that? I don't live anywhere near a store that carries anything other can Gibsons, Fenders and the occasional Ibanez so I have no way of trying one for myself. I have a 2010 Jackson Soloist and a 1989 Charvel Predator (back when Jackson owned them) but I believe the Dinky body will be smaller. Any info or opinion anyone has would be appreciated. Cheers.

The best thing about the guitar imo is that it doesn't have your name on it. I know, i sound like a douche for saying it, and nothing against you of course, but the name/logo are always what kept me away from signature guitar. I just can't help but feel like it's not really my guitar in a way. As you can see from my picture i'm also a charvel player, your signature looks great and the neck is really nice looking

Fantastic guitar Rick, I think all the choices made really balance all era's of traditional Strat, through super strat, to modern super strat, a classy culmination. The "celeste" color really strikes it off into the 60's era style, with the white appointments hinting at traditional pickguard contrast, and the remaining components utilizing 4 decades of super strat evolution.
