Wow, I really have to say your videos are awesome. The editing is really well done and the music choice suits the videos very nicely. Overall very well done, seems like you are a perfect fit for this. I am very interested in hat embroidery, however I have no experience with it. So, I am wondering what type of machine are you using to do the 3D hat embroidery, and do you have any suggestions on what to look out for when purchasing a machine?

Resilience, thanks for the awesome comments, they take time to create and I really appreciate you taking the time to write such a great post. I do get asked this question allot and will be a talk on it. I use Melco but it's not so much the machine it's the digitising. I started on a little home brother machine doing 3D embroidery and digitising it correctly makes a huge difference. 3D Embroidery is a monster to tackle and takes more time than standard embroidery. The big thing to look out for in a machine is pressure foot, to be able adjust this so it can embroider thicker material such as the foam in 3D.

wow.. looks like i've stumbled on to something good here & hoping you get and respond to comments/questions this far back.. oddly, I have a background in design (seriously was drawing nikes when i was 5 or 6) with both a fine arts & graphic design degree but life took me elsewhere for a long time but now has seemed to have possibly brought me back to the design world. Before I go further, funny thing is this is your first video i've seen & cos I was looking for info on the FlexFit Delta hat itself but ended up on a channel with tons of good info i've been slowly and observantly prying in to after some more basic design and custom dye/paint work. However, that original sought knowledge.. you compare the delta, literally up against what you call a normal or regular flexfit cap. They make a lot of versions.. at least in the states.. but i'd guess the most popular are the 110 and the twilly? Is it one of these your sizing it up against or another? Thanks in advance if you get this and you've got a new subscriber interested in all the rest as well!!

Hi Jason, I use DesignShop by melco. I would like to give the wilcom a go though.Quick tip, always keeps your columns thick between 3-10mm with a density of around .2 (normal density being it around .36) for a clean finish. I have plenty of videos planned just have to get round to them :-). Thanks for the kind comment Jason and for watching!

Hey man love all your videos. I started doing hats also and have a couple of question for a pro like yourself. How tall do you recommend making a logo on the flex fit hats. Also what density should I use to make 3D puff, the foam keeps coming out. I use Wilcom to digitize. Hope you read this. Thank you and keep up the good work!!

hi Israel, thanks for your kind comments! On Flexfit Caps being baseball in style I would say 55mm high safe area pushing 60mm depending on logo style. Density is a tricky one but as general rule leave it around 2 (normal stitch being 36-38). You may also need to put down a running stitch underlay to help cut the foam to give a cleaner result. Thanks for watching!

From a guy that just about sleeps with his cap on.. How well does the shape hold up after a while?
@KeeponCreatingTV
6 жыл бұрын
Haha, ok well i'm not sure how the cap will handle sleep but it's a really solid cap. If your caps get a little funky from sweat marks it has a stain resistant fabric. The front of the cap is well Structured with the backing of the buckram helping keep the shape. From my use so far the cap has held up well, actually some of the clips in this video use my cap and you can't tell the difference. Thanks for Watching @iamDon!

@@KeeponCreatingTV hello... really loving the channel... just subscribed. Can I please ask you how much your embroidery machine cost you. And where you got your caps from... FlexFit or otherwise. I am in the UK and seriously considering starting up a screen printing shop...I would also like an embroidery machine but I think it might be a step too far at first because of the cost of them... but any advice will be very much appreciated. Thank you

I have used this hat and love the feel as well but have had some issues with the color bleeding into the stitching.... wondering if you have had any issues like this or tips as to why it has happened. I used white poly thread.

Hi Arleen, thanks for your comment, I have never come across this before. What brand on thread are you using? Are the colours bleeding before or after worn?
@AiryHfji0ne
6 жыл бұрын
My T Shirt Printers thanks for your quick response. I use either metro proglide or exquisite threads. The hat color ran after it was worn in the rain (assuming washing would cause same issue).
@KeeponCreatingTV

No Problem, I use Maderia polyester Threads as they can be washed in much higher temperatures and are more resistant to bleaching which could be the sweat factor, causing the problem. These threads could help with the bleeding or colour migration problem your experiencing. As I said i've never had this problem before with any of my embroideries so I would try order in a white polyester thread from them and give it test. Thanks Mike.
