It's always great to see a Dir en Grey reaction, I really enjoy yours :) Thank you to Discord members for suggesting Saku! This one is very short but fun at the same time. Perfect for live shows I like their approach to composition, different parts of the songs are always unpredictable in a good way. Their writing is unique. Like here you certainly don't expect to have this beautiful and strange at the same time guitar part - and it works! The chorus is very catchy as well. Saku is quite old and has that special vibe but it never feels boring for me (the lyrics are amazing btw, very poetic) If I may, I would suggest you to watch Namamekashiki ansoku, tamerai ni hohoeme (kzitem.info/news/bejne/jouFvap-oHWGa6g). You said in the beginning that you are a fan of the more heavy style but I feel like this ballad really showcases the more fragile and vulnerable side of DeG's music. They are perceived as a savage band with screaming and growling but they can be different and I enjoy this style of music very much. Maybe It will be interesting to you to discover that Anyways, thank you very much for your reaction and I hope to see you coming back to Dir! Have a great day or night! ✨

Aw, thank you so much Kira! I appreciate hearing that. 😊 I'll put your suggestion on my list for future DeG reactions. It would be fun to see another side of the band! Cheers, Matt

One of the weirdest parts of this song I always thought was the chords progression for the chorus… if you play it without the music… it just doesnt seem to belong… I cant fathom how they came up with that choice…

2 bands you should check out for Japanese rock/metal. Deluhi and Lynch. . Deluhi - SkapeGoat but for a more sophisticated sound check out Frontier by Deluhi. Lynch. Check out Shadowz but for a better written song A Gleam in Eye by Lynch. . One more song that is slept on and very obscure that not much people know about that has a very unique composition is Frantic Emiry - World End. Listen to the older version not the newer version theres a PV on KZitem for it! Thanks for the content 🙏👑

Sabaton is definitely going to happen! As for Doom, I've heard it many times, haha, so I can't really do a reaction for it. Maybe a video on how effing awesome it is. 😎

Sabaton are awsome, they are Swedish heavy metalband formed in -99. Their lyrics are inspired from true history events from war battles, persons, worldwar 1 & 2, other historic wars. Their live performances, omg epic. The live ’ en livstid i krig’ (a lifetime at war) from Gothenburg. Where the crowd sings the song. Thats one for you to watch. They also got their history channel where you get the history behind all their songs. 😀👍

Thanks Britt! I'm very much looking forward to doing a Sabaton reaction. I've heard so much about them, but have yet to sit down and listen to their music.
