so, do no waver should have been scored by the gargants. The one that charged gets to fight because he charged, even if he has nothing to swing at. Kragnos or the small gargant going first guarantees the tactic, even if the unit dies.

Love me some Monster Smash games. Though quick note on the "Do Not Waiver" battle tactic the SoB player went for turn 2. I believe he would have scored it. So, the rules for using a "fight" ability have two restrictions, that the unit is currently in combat range of an enemy unit OR has charged. If a unit has charged and is not in combat range, it can then use the "Fight" ability to pile in and attempt to attack a legal target. In the case of King Brodd, he didn't have anyone in range but he could still technically use the "Fight" ability since he had charged, fulfilling the battle tactic. However, because the ruling for "Do Not Waiver" is have two units that "have fought" it all depends if using the "fight" ability counts as "having fought". Yay clunky rules!

I didn't agree with you and looked into all this as everything you describe is in the declare step and not the effect. However, in the glossary, "fought" is defined as having used the fight ability, and "used" is defined as the ability has been declared regardless of whether it resolves. So you are quite correct as it seems.

You don't have to pick battle tactic. If you don't want to try just don't pick and save bt for later

I feel like they need to increase the points on Sons so if you have 3 big boys you have no little boys. Itll at least give the other side a chance at the objective game before theyre tabled. Also that rampage that picks them up and moves them is a little strong imo. Like allow some kind of attacks from the opponent while being moved or a resist roll so you get to move half the distance back. Cause seriously like those giant ass horns wouldnt be making contact while he was struggling to not get picked up? Not to mention theres a guy on the back who could use his weapons to counter.

Sons is currently the worst army of this edition on almost every tier list and has one of the worst winrates. Why would anyone nerf them?
