why you prefer to sony 35mm to sigma 30mm ?
@MountMediaChannel

@@paganmin1214 The main reason is the OSS. I mainly shoot handheld and the OSS helps a lot. Should you own the KIT Lens, try to deactivate the stabilization and shoot some footage. Then you could find out if you can live without OSS. But both are great lenses!

The 35 will give you more bokeh because of the focal length but it really depends on what you want to shoot. The 16mm is the better choice for travel or landscape, the 35 works better for people, especially close ups.

I've been using this with my a6400, and it's an awesome combination! And when I throw them on a Crane M2 gimbal, it's another level of awesomeness. Great storytelling setup. My favorite lens, for sure, I love the roughly 50mm look for a variety of situations. Looks like real life to me. I am also using the 16-50 kit lens, and can get great shots with it. I feel like that lens is taken for granted as a "throwaway" lens, but if you throw an ND filter on it, and get your settings right, it's got great character. At least to me. ;) In any case.... Great video, as always, thank you.

@RockWILK
2 жыл бұрын
@@desirewithinus I think the a6400 is a better choice because you have so much more great glass to choose from. As long as you can figure out how to stabilize it, it’s really an incredible camera. Especially if you get a handle on all the picture profiles. Really special.
@desirewithinus
2 жыл бұрын
@@RockWILK Thanks. My main purpose will be taking photos, especially my kid + some general purpose. Taking it out whenever I'm with my family. So I needed something compact and light weight. Carrying a 1.3kg dslr all day is no fun 😑.
@RockWILK
2 жыл бұрын
@@desirewithinus The a6400 is really small and so light. I mainly have either my Sony 35mm f1.8 OSS on it or my Zeiss Batis 25mm f2, Which is a little bit heavier and bigger, but still pretty small. Both incredible lenses, and the whole set up is really easy to carry around with you all the time. The Zeiss is not stabilized though, but it’s an amazing lens. And if you really wanna go small, just use the kit lens, people say disparaging things about it, but trust me, you can get great footage from that little lens. And it’s stabilized, and it’s got a pretty decent range, and once you get all your settings together in the camera, you can do great work with that lens. Best of luck with all of it, I’m sure no matter which camera you choose, you’re going to be very happy.

Hi, since I shoot video most of the time and therefore the absolute sharpness is not as important, I use it mostly at 2.0 or even at 1.8 to get the most cinematic image. But of course it will be sharper at 2.8.
