Technically, they both are the best in their worlds. RX100 VII is the best point-and-shoot, on-the-go, easy-to-use portable camera, and a6600 is the best camera on which you can control literally everything--the lens, stabilisation, flash, etc. within about $2000-$3000

Good comparison. I wish the RX100vii had ab f1.8 lens & internal ND filter. Maybe they will release a VA version so people could choose btwn the two. But i haven’t heard of any rumors. Yes, the 200mm reach on the RX100vii is nice, but i think i’d prefer an f1.8 lens and shorter reach.

i think most of us wouldn't mind a slightly bigger camera to accomodate those 2 features you are talking about. And I wouldn't mind a slightly bigger sensor.

No photos or videos to compare? Thanks for the info but we are on KZitem for a reason, we want to see visual differences 😬 great informative video nonetheless.

KZitem's video compression would make any differences disappear. You'll need to go to a written review with accompanying pictures for that.

With the 16-50mm kit lens, I can fit the 6600 in my pocket no worries. Just have to make sure my belt is done up so it doesn't pull my pants down haha

Ive had my a6600. Upgraded from the a6400 that I only had four few mos. Actually a big improvement when considering grip, battery life and a few more cf buttons. This is easily Sonys best APS-C.

i have the rx100 vii and its amazing... i know this is a hard question to quantify, but how much better is the A6600 sensor in low light?
@TVe200

It is defenitely much better. The sensor is more than 3 times bigger and you can buy f/1.4 lenses for Sony APS-C.

Hello there. The A6400 with 18 to 135 combo is the same price as the RX100 combo. The reach being the same, which camera will produce better results as a daily walkaround.
@PadPoet

Tha A6400 will produce better results but you'll think twice before taking it with you. With the RX100 VII you just chuck it in a pocket and go. My most used cameras are the RX100s (I've had quite a few). I have an A9 and a A7RIII but my RX100 M3 and now M7 are getting the most use in general.

If I was just starting out I would avoid apsc at that price and just move to full frame. Used a7iii for the same price

Peronoqueriasvenir I know you my not ever think it will happen but one day you will upgrade to full frame and you will be starting over with lens if you buy all apsc. Even if you got the 6600 I would buy FE lens. Also they hold their value longer.

Scott's Speaker and Camera Reviews I take your point if you are talking about Pro photographers but for anyone who doesn’t make a living from their expensive hobby, good APSC glass for Sony is half the price of FF glass and very good value. I made the conscious choice to go APSC (A6400) so I could afford good glass for my hobby.

@@ScottsReviews That is true. Myself I am also doing a research about what type of Sony camera should I get, (I'm tide in budget too): 1. A RX100 Vii and forget the rest. 2. A 6600 with APSC lens. 3. A 6600 with FE lens. 4. An A7iii with FE lens.

hello Is the rx100 vii better than the a6000 for (sports and low light) photography?
@PadPoet
2 жыл бұрын
For sports definitely. The RX100 VII is basically a mini A9 in terms of Autofocus. I would get a used RX100 VII if I were you. A6000 is great but in terms of features and focusing it's old compared to the RX100 VII

I look at the rx100 and ask, can my smartphone do this? There way too many "yes" answers to that question for me to buy the rx100. If I'm going to buy and add something to my inventory it's going to be something that my smartphone doesn't come close to. A6600 it is.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro. I've ended up using the RX100 VII more and more. For anything action related or fast moving subjects like kids and dogs phones are no comparison to an RX100. With enough light and for non demanding action stuff, yes there is little to no difference unless you are a pixel peeper.

you speak about the A7?(r)V nice camera but not the price. I don't what Sony will whits this line. Normal A7r starting A7 I the price 1500 euro en now the V cost 5500 euro. That is not a camera for a hobby more body only. I use now the RX100 m7 and a old APC A777II and a nex7. I will look what i go to do. I can buy a A6400/6600 or a older A7(r) if to go Full frame. i don't no it now.

Heheh people saying iPhone 13 pro has a better or similar camera are sick in the head. I bought this crap. iPhone 13 pro makes faces look unnatural and general picture quality is nowhere near to the real camera. It is just a toy. That is why I am looking for a real camera. Yeah… iPhone camera ;). Payed bullshit.
