Thanks so much!! This is incredibly useful. I’m a lifelong Nikon user, plunging into Sony for video, picking up A7C especially for gimbal use. I’d be keen on a crash course, especially for video features. Picture profiles for good dynamic range without too much pain in post would be welcome too.

After purchasing Sony a7c, switching from Nikon, i was puzzeled with its menu and asked sony centre for it demo which till date not recieved. Ultimarely I got above tutorial and it is so well explained that even sony people may not able to explain in such simpler way. Very very thanks bro. I remember when i first bought Nikon, i learnt a lot about focusing from ur channel...U have now made me expert in handling Sony menu.😊

I just bought the Sony A7C. I already have a big video project coming up this weekend with a client. I recorded videos (no particular picture profile) and the video is great on my camera. When I imported the videos from my camera-card to my computer I noticed that they were "mp4 for quicktime" and only 2 of the 4 videos had a "preview" available. The other 2 videos just had "quicktime" icons. When I imported them into Final Cut Pro 10 on my 2001 macbook pro, The 2 with quicktime icons showed up as "black (no video) but the audio still played. What the hell is going on? I can't have this happen when I work with my upcoming projects. Any ideas? Thanks.

I had a similar thing happen. The video played fine on the camera, so I knew the the data was all there. I imported the video straight into Adobe Premiere and it worked fine.

So he talks to himself, as if there's other people he's replying to. Then he makes some statement on something and says "you're right" and commends himself on the correct answer... It totally blows my mind :) Maybe he should try NLP ...yes that's right, good answer, Michael The Maven. I totally lost the camera plot over this ^^ Maybe tomorrow I can get over this and ...never mind

Hi Michael , Re the Sony A7c, I’m having an odd problem/error with [Focus Standard] function! If I reassign this to another button (i.e. the [AF ON] button.) and move the focus square other than the centre of the screen. The [AF ON] focus standard doesn't return the focus square to the centre. [Firmware V 2.00 installed]. I even thought the button was faulty, it isn't! PS this function on the A9ii and the A7Riii works fine. I can only assume there is a software bug in the A7c. Also if the focus is not a tracked option and even if the centre button is set to [NO Option] it will centre this focus box! Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi Michael. I'm considering switching from Canon 6D to A7C, but I'm wondering if my current settings/setup in 6D is possible on the A7C. On 6D I use Manual mode and adjust aperture and shutter speed manually using the external wheels buttons, while leaving the ISO to automatic (but putting in the max to 3200 in the settings) and exposure compensation also to automatic. Is this setup possible on the A7C?

This seems like a logical upgrade for anyone who has a 6000 series, but I heard that the image size with APS-C lenses is way too small. If Fuji can make an APC-C sensor @ 26 Mpxl, Why didn't Sony use this camera to introduce a new 30 Mpxl sensor, so that old lenses would take reasonable size photos?
