@Mike Smitch thanks Mike I found a schematic, now the connection on the RCA L / R connectors on the video you soldered the input and output wires of the board in parallel on the MD connector, because there are three GND / L / R wires on the video, there are 6 wires.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you're asking. I removed the phono panel from the PCB and cut off the legs of the two MD phono connectors so they no longer connect to the PCB. Instead, I wired the MD phono connectors to the L / R / GND inputs on the bluetooth module (3 wires). I then wired the L / R / GND output from the bluetooth module to the stereo amplifier board where the MD sockets used to connect (again, 3 wires). This should be visible in the video at 4:23. Hope this helps.

man, you have soldered blak-red wire on terminals of super capacitor C810 0.1F, so if power falls, the super capacitor C810 drain faster with additional current consumption of BT module and so you lose out faster the FM stations; or I am wrong ?

Hi Mike. I have a very similar stereo (CP11) that maybe you can help me to find out something. Is better to disconnect the stereo off the electricity when is not in use? Or just turning it off is enough? Sorry that my question doesn't have anything to do with the video, but I'm wondering that because those are very old machines and I don't want something to burn out like a cap or something. Also, I'm dumb as a brick :(

Hi Loco, all I know is that the circuitry in the stereo is still "live" when it's in standby. Mine has lasted over 20 years on standby without a problem, but disconnecting from the mains will save electricity.

Hi Mike Smith, very good video that you have made of the Bluetooth KRC-86B V4.0. I am writing to you because I am trying to install it on a Yamaha PSR-2000 musical keyboard, so far it turns on well, the LED, connects directly without the need for security like the other bluetooth, example "0000". But my concern is that the music does not sound, there is no audio. It will be that you can help me, I am waiting for your response, thank you.

I have the following question, the following options appear on the card: IN L - IN R. Where these inputs are installed both left and right, they are necessary to install them, and if they are you where I install them on the SONY equipment, to guide me. Now the OUT L - OUT R. These outputs go directly to the speakers and brightness and if not, where are they going. For now I thank you if you can help me on this, thanks again.

@@EktorPSR Connecting the OUT-L and OUT-R directly to the speakers won't work... the signal has to be amplified. The OUT-L and OUT-R need to be connected to the MIC/LINE-IN on the amplifier board. The signal will then go through the keyboard's amplifier (and volume control) before it reaches the speakers. On my stereo, I used one of the line inputs and had to break into the signal path (see 5:42 to 6:10 and 8:11 to 8:48 on my video). I connected the phono sockets to the IN-L and IN-R of the module and connected the OUT-L and OUT-R directly onto the amplifier board, where the sockets had previously been connected. 4:25 to 4:50 on the video shows this on a diagram... hope this helps.

Thank you for the detailed information below, however before fitting this switch circuit to my sony cmt-cp505md my schematic shows a different configuration, with only upto 5v rather than 6.9v. Will the same transistors and resistor values still work? The L and R standby circuit also doesn't seem to be identical either. As this hifi has a digital and optical line in (with the MD built in) to avoid DRM, I'm intending to hook into analog line in instead. Many thanks in advance. Tim.

Hi Tim, I'm not familiar with your model of HiFI, but I would think the same value components should work. The resistor values are not critical, provided they drive the transistors into saturation. If you have any problems, you could always reduce the value of R1 by 1k or so, but I doubt this will be necessary.

hi, I wanted to submit to the teacher a question, I have the same audio system but I can not fix it, I disappeared the audio but with the headphones feels good, I have already tested several components including the finals but nothing to do, you have some advice to give me, because I do not have electronic schemes to make precise measurements, Thanks.
@Ap01101969
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrea, I'm not sure that I can help you very much, but can tell you that the headphone output has its own separate amplifier so, if headphones work, but not speakers, then it's likely to be the speaker amplifier or some associated component that is the problem. There are two separate amplifier chips, one for left and and one for right channels, so if you're getting nothing from either speaker, I guess it's more likely a shared component - there is a "muting" circuit which connects to pin 10 of the amplifiers and also some transistors which drive the "standby" input (pin 9) of the amplifiers, so may be worth looking at what these signals are doing. Best advice I can offer is to Google "HCD-CP1 service manual". This should find you a PDF copy of the manual with full circuit diagrams, etc. Hope this helps... good luck!

good morning and thanks for the very quick response, again congratulations for the work you did, good true. The two final TDA and the smaller ones at the bottom I tested them on the bench "but without power" with another new one, and I "seemed good" also because the audio is there but it is very low. in repairing the mechanics of the tape and CD in the test phase, the two wires (+L / -R) of the speaker, touched each other and the problem was born. if you want to send me the datasheet I would appreciate it. you can send it privately via fb. many thanks again

The KRC-86B has audio inputs (left, right and a shared ground). In principle, I guess your mic would connect to these, but may need to have its own pre-amp to match the required level (line level) and impedance.

Sorry, I misunderstood your question - I thought you were referring to the bluetooth module. However, my previous comments apply also if you want to connect your mic to the CMT-CP1 line inputs - you will need some sort of microphone pre-amplifier to bring the microphone signal up to the required level for the line inputs.

@Ap01101969
2 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, I decided to increase the value of R1 (by adding another in series) to minimise the current drawn from the STBY signal on the mainboard. It wasn't strictly necessary, but just a precaution as I didn't know how much current the STBY signal could provide. The resistor values are not critical, as long as they drive the transistors into saturation and make them switch on.
