I bought this microphone three years ago, and I just have been very impressed as it performs just as well if not better then the pro lovs that I have used over the years that use phantom power. I really like the flat tone overall, a lot of Lavalier‘s especially the cheaper ones will go for extra bass, but that actually makes the highs meds more distorted. What I asked like about this Lavalier is that it’s built for the low-end recorders that are on the market, my old school H4n Zoom from 2010 works perfectly with this microphone using the plug in power mode. It just really highlights that if you design your products to effectively use the voltage that Luanne devices can supply and I am for something ridiculous like phantom power and a sub $200 recording device, you got a pretty good results. I have to say I’m pretty tempted to buy a couple extra ones and paint them like Matt black, because it’s kind a hard to hide this microphone. But the sound quality is really good for the price that you pay and there’s so many times I’ve gone to conventions and the audio guys there i’m just using huge gigantic lavs that are not picking up the speaker’s voice at all. It might be ugly, but this is my favorite Lavalier mic to use, if there’s no other sound options.

Thanks for the great comment! Very helpful to other viewers. I do agree, it would be better if the darn thing was all black!

Do I have to buy a adapter to use in on my pc? If so what adapter? :/ (I know you mentioned a adapter in the vid but I want to make sure)

For use with a standard PC microphone input jack, you don't need any adapters... It should work as is, just plugging in to the PC.

@@ItsSLEEPY13 Does your laptop have a combination headphone jack/microphone jack? If so then you may need a TRS to TRRS adapter.

I got mine around two years ago...£20.....for the money there is nothing to even compare...plastic ?..meh, who cares, i dont throw it around ....listen to the reviews where there are audio samples of this and $200 lavs and 99% of the time you cannot hear any difference...they switch from one to the other on the fly and you cannot hear any differences worth talking about, and even if you can those differences are subjective, some people prefer more bottom but most dont, rolling off bottom end is usually the first thing thats usually done to audio in post... i know which mic id rather have !...and if your'e that worried about the plastic build and somehow breaking it, then buy two , youll still be around £150 ahead of the game !!! Ive seen reviews where they dont like the silver look, say its conspicuous, well either paint it with a sharpie or whatever, or black tape...£20 FFS what do people want for that sort of money ?

The stereo effect wins it for me. It has that 2 dimensional sound that mono mics can't get.
