I decided to do a small review here of the Sony PCM-D100 handheld portable microphone. I am playing a series of different fingerstyle arrangements and strumming patterns, in order to test how the microphone performs under different scenarios and especially using both percussive and fingerpicking elements.
I am using two different guitars which are a Martin Dreadnought Junior electro acoustic guitar and a Furch Little Jane travel guitar. I also used an acoustic amp, the Roland AC-33 on some of the demonstrations in this video.
The great thing about the Sony PCM-D100 is that it is portable, meaning I don't need to use a sound interface, mic leads or even a computer at the time of recording. I can carry it around very easily when travelling.
I hope you enjoy the video, please leave any comments you would like to add
