How satisfied are you in general with using ZVE1? Do you have difficulty seeing the screen in bright sunlight?

In bright light I would use my hand to cover part of the screen and it’s alright. It’s never been a problem for me. For zve1 long term review please check out this video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/uWeJ1qOGqYF7eIYsi=V201MXP7WRckzvoU
Thank you for the test. Your panning skill is really good. Sigh, I probably need more practice. At telephoto end, I always got up and down footages when handhold.

Thank you 😊 I still get quite some jittering, but I do find it getting better if I move the camera faster

I rarely use dynamic active steadyshot on my PZ 16-35mm and ZVE1. I only set to standard. But when i walk i will change the setting to Dynamic active.. it worked wonders. I tried to do some walking shot with my Meike 85mm on my subject afar.. it was hardly possible. The jittery motion was too prominent. I don’t like using gimbal. But if it just for panning 85mm with active steady shot there is no problem. I guess if i use sony lenses the jittery is almost gone even using active mode, that is for panning movement. Even in walking there is less shakiness in the video.

Thanks for sharing, I think if you are already using a very long lens, sometimes the dynamic active steady shot will make the footage even more shaky because it’s cropped a lot and shaking looks more obvious

Very helpful. It is diificult finding a KZitem video that actually tests the limits of DAC. Do you know if Sony lenses make a substantial difference?

I haven’t tested it on ZVE1, but I compared the stabilization of a Sony lens vs 7artisans 50mm lens on A7cii using IBIS, the Sony lens does have better performance (kzitem.info/news/bejne/0Zdoy2V4o6p9emUsi=YBF72HOzSrwC7kqN at 5’30) I’ll give it a try on ZVE1 dynamic active steadyshot too.

@ryaneb3 I did some tests about sony lens vs third-party lenses using dynamic active steadyshot, hope you find it helpful: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1J98roWJr4idqqQ

Hope you can add sony native lens to the test. We know it makes subtle difference with ibis.

Only if it is an OSS lens, and a recent one at that. The old Zeiss OSS lenses perform worse with IBIS, because they have an old OIS implementation.

It is a well known scenario among internet that sony native lens perform a bit better in active ibis and dynamic active ibis. You should try to compare.

I’m glad it helped! I found that when you pan the camera fast, the shaking is less noticeable than when you move it slowly

@@ConstantineSPhotography interesting. you are probably the one one who shares real life usage feedback and not some all good reviews
