You two are doing very well with all the work on the garden and the vines and strimming etc.

You have an organic garden in your home land I think. That very nice and healthy.

Grape vines propagate really easily so if you want more of that variety simply plant the rooted stem where you want them to grow., or use prunings to make cuttings. Same with fig trees.

Fairly new here I guess and new at the game. Your veg should all be in by now as summers can be very hot. So you to harvet your beg no later than first week in July, then sow a secknd crop just before the rains come in early Sep, That ios will grow again so better to dig it out, or spray off with Roundup+ wetter when a foot high and don t plant anything in that area untill you clear it all . I ll take it you are in Castelo Branco county because the land was cheap. Big mistake as no doubt you have seen if you were in the summer. Not enough water is the problem, hence the low price. I m in the next county north where we get more rsin, but even then is not enough in mid summer. Was trying to guess where your husband/boyfriend is from as not heard his acsent before. If you need advise or help just ask as am an old hand at this lark. Good luck.

Hey welcome! Carlos is Portuguese but lived in England a few years so that’s why his accent is only very subtle. This is our second year in this are and lived one summer further south where Carlos is from. We are quite high up here and grew tomatoes, peppers, lettuce last year when planted in April. We dug up the entire garden last year but with the wet springs and hot summers we found it very hard to keep on top of the weeds. I’ve been doing research into no dig beds for this reason to try and slow the growth of the weeds so we can stay better on top of it. If it doesn’t work I guess we will try something else 😅 we also have a few springs on our land so things don’t seem to dry out like other areas around us. Unfortunately we can’t get other vegetables in yet as we still get frosts that can kill certain veggies so have to wait to march/April. Hope that updates you on the land. Hoping to do a full update tour soon 😊

It’s a nightmare isn’t it this time of year. They grow so fast with all the rain. 😅
