In today's archeology session we have SOS, developed by K.K Tokki and published by Namco in 1979.
Your main goal is to prevent 100 planes from escaping! But you're not alone, you can send SOS signals to your allies to kill the last 9 enemies that left the screen (as long as 10 or more have already left! Otherwise they'll ignore your call, you drama queen).
What else can you do? Aim! (unheard-of ^^). You shoot straight while staying still and diagonally while moving. There can only be one shot at a time on screen, so try not to miss. You also have 4 lives (3 + 1 extend at 2k points) and losing them all ends the run (or letting the counter at the bottom reach 100. Whatever happens first).
And last but not least, there are also completely-integral-to-the-story "coffee breaks" every 2k points, with a girl taking off her clothes at 6k and 10k in glorious pixel art LMAO. (It starts again at 12k, so I'm not sure if I did ten 2k loops or two 10k loops...)
The game is definitely more fun than it looks (try it!), but I don't know how much "RNG" there really is to boost replayability (if any) and the game could benefit from starting harder or at least ramping up the difficulty faster (keeping it shorter and intense).
