Oh boy! The moment Dimash picks the mic and moves it close to his mouth, then you know many characters will be out to make a beautiful song with many genres and many tonal quality: rocker, soprano, baritone, breathy and airy yet not out of pitch, etc. This performance gives me a vibe of something so fragile, yet so powerful like a out of space, universe vibe!

What stunnes me even more that his transitions up is how he is able go from an full belt on a ridiculously high note and switch in a matter of a split of a second to a barely whispered gentle warm tone skidding right on the edge between a steady tone and breath.

Thank you for your appreciative reaction to "SOS"! It is not an original song (it's from the French-Canadian rock-opera "Starmania" from the 70's), but Dimash made it his own. He has sung it many times and every time there is something different. It was the first song that he sang on the Chinese Singer contest in 2017, which made him famous. The lyrics are very connected to the music, the low parts are where the character tells about his meaningless life, and the high parts where he dreams to be a bird and to see the world from above.
and Unforgettable Day kzitem.info/news/bejne/1mtovnifpZhnZW0 not for the D8, just cause this song is amazing and the way he sang it too :/

I don’t really think he can be classified in any traditional way. His baritone is gorgeous. His tenor is amazing. “Countertenor” doesn’t really describe his higher register, because that really isn’t a false soprano-it sounds pretty legit to me. Flageolet? Yep, he goes there. Lyric tenor might be a creative name for it but it still doesn’t cover the guy’s whole range.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. SOS, is a song from Starmania, a Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976. This is a song about depression & thoughts of suicide. Enjoy the journey. S.O.S. of a Soul in Distress Why do I live, why do I die? Why do I laugh, why do I cry? Here is the SOS of a man in distress I've never had both feet upon the ground I'd rather be a bird I don't fit into this skin I'd like to see the world turned upside down If ever it were beautiful It's lovelier from above, from above I've always confused life with the comic strips Even wished I could transform I feel something That draws me That draws me That draws me up Into the great lotto of the universe I don't have the right numbers I don't fit into this skin I don't want to be a robot Eating, working, sleeping Why do I live, why do I die Why do I live, why do I cry I think I'm catching waves From another world I've never had both feet upon the ground I'd rather be a bird I'd like to see the world turned upside down I'd rather be a bird Sleep, child, sleep

Dimash is a tenor, according to him, and to every other vocal coach I’ve listened to who reacted to him, especially those who sing opera. Also, not all of the high notes he sings are falsetto as you pointed out, in many places he has thinned out his vocal chords and pushed the high note with a mixed chest voice. His lifelong voice coach, the best in Kazakhstan, says that Dimash has always been a tenor.

For those who love Dimash, another must see singer is Zhao Shen from China. Because of his small stature, feminine disposition and voice, he was often bullied in school. Never thinking that he had what it takes to be a singer, he went tot he Ukraine to become a dentist. While there, he was convinced that he did have a great singing ability, thus transferred his major to music. Thank goodness he did. As an introduction into Zhao "Charlie" Shen, begin with his premiere performance on the Voice of China singing HuanYan. After this first video, move on to his versions of "Memory", and "Time to Say Goodbye". For something different from him, watch his version of "Let It Go" and "Monsters". Last, but definitely not least (there is so much more from him), enjoy the videos, "This is Me" and a very unique and fun song (one of my favs) "Da La Beng Ba". His biggest success is the song "Big Fish".

Greetings to the owner and guests of this channel…! ARTIST FACTS: DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, & multi-instrumentalist. Born in Aktobe Kazakhstan, Central Asia: May 24, 1994. He was trained in classical & contemporary music, and is well known for his exceptional widest vocal range. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living out our day to day life. His hard work for years is indeed bearing good fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a public listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the good content and message of its music. The fact that, he is able to sing his music at maximum or more than 6 octaves with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said Ooh… is Dimash human..? Alien..? Etc, I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and be surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. I believed that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives. Death creates in us a feelings of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Death is unknown to all of us, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times. We all know how good Dimash is. I have another Kazakh singer she 14 year old Daneliya Tuleshova. Yes she and Dimash know each other, and are friends. I am sending you a link to a Birdy song cover by Daneliya called, 'It's Not About Angels'. I send this one of many to show you what she is capable of. I have other singers from around the world that I've been following for the last 4-5 years. Dimash I was introduced to by this very song. To say he was a revelation is an understatement. I am always leery of gimmick singers. But he is no gimmick. He could sing professionally in any of his 6-7 octaves. There are those that question whether his origins are truly of Earth. Listening to Dimash is a numinous experience. That word I found fifty-two years ago while writing an English paper and need a word to describe an event or performance that defied the English language. You can probably infer the meaning from my description of the use. It has been a useful word for me over the years. With Dimash it is virtually necessary. Here is that link for Daneliya, kzitem.info/news/bejne/sntnsJyKjppnjH4 enjoy.

The sign of a great singer is that they can sing in any language and it still resonates and moves you spiritually, Dimash is one of those few singers blessed with a God given talent that we are privileged to witness.

Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾! If you have a chance to watch the new MV Dimash released just today ("Be With Me"), you'll find it hard to believe it's the same person. There are at least 5 Dimashes on the new song; it's a pop song and he even gets to rap in Kazakh and puts a touch of lyrical. Yes: as unbelievable as it sounds! Stay safe! Thanks so much!

I don’t think anyone who has studied voice at all can hear him and not become a fan. Even if you don’t love his musical style choices (which I do), you can’t help but appreciate his immense natural talent, and the hard, hard work he’s put in over many years to develop this level of technical skill.

Just FYI, he attains F6 (+ D8 whistle register) in Unbelievable Day and goes off the other side of the piano keyboard in the Shine Brothers video of Stranger.
