Speaking the truth and how you really feel about something is always a risk. I can relate to what J. Cole was saying because the fact is, there are 2 types of hiphop fans, the ones that appreciate the lyrics and the ones that appreciate the hits. Soulja Boy's music was strictly about the hits, it was different and it was catchy. You have to acquire that kind of taste in the music to appreciate it and that's what J. Cole did.

I’m glad that years later people recognize what a 16 year old from Mississippi did with a computer and a beat. Nigga low key changed the game in regards to marketing yourself and using a computer to create independence and springboard the careers of a lot of young black men who probably would have gotten overlooked.🤷🏽♂️

You know what.... Cole got a big heart I know he's already forgiven what was said and he understands better than anyone that we're human and we make mistakes...we trip , we get outta pocket ....on the other hand I think it was big on Soulja to be man enough to apologize and put his pride aside , it takes a big man to do that.. also gotta give props to Nicki for being such a lover that she doesn't wanna see conflict between two people she respects....because she know what that shhii feels like. Just my unbiased opinion DevilDontCry

Ever happened to guilty pleasures as individuals. People are so vested in themselves of just because you like something different for different genre of music. I would never knock another generation taste in music. It's gotten to point that people make same talking points channel same thing because views like hip hop is dead or crap which is unrealistic will always be one song that you like of every genre of music.

Boy was yelling into the void, by time J Cole gets around to sorting this out SB will be in another beef w/someone else that he misinterpreted, misunderstood or just doesn’t like. The opposite of normal adult behavior…must take up all sorts of energy to be that triggered.

If I’m J cole I’d leave this alone…what I have come to realize is some people’s IQ is just too low to understand basic communication and comprehend certain things and the fact that these rappers love coming for Cole speaks volumes they love him but hate the fact he pays them 0 attention
