I'm an amateur radio operator. It is so fascinating too basically visualize the movement and effects of a lot of the frequencies I work with!

Just fascinating stuff! The years of study that are needed to understand the base physics of electronics, sound, and fluid dynamics is overwhelming. I guess that's why you'd better be a very bright individual if you want to get into quantum physics or just about any "physics", (and you'd better understand calculus mathematics too!). Great Demo!

Excellent video. I wonder, where do you get the material from? Is there a specific supplier for that, Amazon...? I teach in Mexico and most labs do not have this kind of equipment, so I'd love to create one. Thanks in advance

It seems that the waves applied to the square created more intricate shapes but actually a circle is more intricate that a straight line, so technically, the circles created by the round disc were more intricate shapes.

With regards to the "Metal Resonance Strips" - Would you say that the higher frequencies are heard towards the end of the strip or the outer part of the strip. And the deeper frequencies can be heard towards the center of the strip that is locked down? Thanks.
@jonathanrowe5549
2 жыл бұрын
Neither - the resonant frequency of each strip is different. The entire strip is vibrating at its specific resonant frequency, and that vibration is what you are hearing - that frequency wave passing from the vibrating metal strip to the air, to your ear. So it's not like one side of the strip sounds different from another. Rather, each strip has its own frequency, or pitch. Think of it like guitar strings. Each string has its own resonant frequency, so without altering them by holding anything down, each string resonates at its own pitch. Its not like if you listen to one side of the string, the pitch is different from the other side of the string. The whole string is one note. And a different string is another whole different note.

If you look carefully, you'll see that the metal strips are different lengths - that determines the wavelength, and therefore the frequency, of the strip. Different length = different frequency = different pitch/note.

all use THE SAME plates, the same motor, even the same sand box, all the same. If a round plate have singular properties it will took ages to some one discover it. this people are like chinese soldiers.
