That is a well-thought-out venue. So refreshing to see this, as in my area, performance space is an afterthought

Great video and run through. I also work in an events space, but not nearly as big and fancy as this one. Great space and great gear!

Are those 4 subs enough? I mean I've heard them a couple of times and it's really Impressive. But is it enough for a rock concert or a bass heavy DJ? All in all I really enjoyed the video 👍🏼

Hiya, I'm intrigued by the motorised retractable wall "drapes" or "black screens" that come down in sections like projector screens: are you able to provide more details please? The standard wool-serge stuff used for the rear walls are fine, but those other ones are new to me and as an acoustic consultant this spiked my interest.

Just source something with half the density of velour that is poly loaded/blended; the sidewall reflections are an order of magnitude of lesser importance than front/back boundary illuminations. You want the same retractible motor-driven rods used for remote-controlled sunshade assemblies.

Cool and clean setup. Just one question, at minute 1:50, when you´re displaying the PA arrangement, it came to my mind the question of: Why did you choose to mount on the top 2 zones a type of speaker with a wider dispersion angle ( Y12 = 120º degrees) instead of doing it in the bottom zone where they could also serve a front fill-ish role. Why didn´t you mount Y8´s in the first two zones and a couple of Y12 in the bottom. Cheers!

Oh I just got mixed up, said it backwards and the set up is almost certainly exactly what you said. I'll put a note on the video or something to clarify. Thanks for pointing that out.

Great video. I'd be interested to know how you managed touring engineers who BYO console? If they're running a different brand, I imaging they also need to tour their specific rack? (I.e. Dlive or Digico or something.) If you're running the supports on the house console, but switching to the tour console for the headliner, how do you tackle this quickly during a turnaround?

That console has so many busses, I think you could just softpatch/matrix all ins/outs through

Good question. Don't tend to come across it much in this venue. There's another venue I'd like to show you that's mostly bands. There we have a system processor with extra inputs available for the guest mixer. So we just plug them right into the processor. In smaller venues I'll run them through the house mixer if needed. Usually I'll try to do it on aes3 so there's less conversion stages etc. I'll make a video about it
