This is gold! Curtis and Allen are my go to options for sound knowledge. Curtis, you kill it with the reviews and testing. Allen, you really go deep on the topics on sound, gear and 3BO (I love that series). Hopefully we'll see more colaboration between you two. Thank you for this!

This was quite an engaging interview to listen to. Thanks, Curtis and Alan, for taking the time to make this and for being so open and communicative about the industry and profession.

If you were interviewing the interviewee for a job, and you were using his equipment knowledge as a gauge of his experience, you would be sold at 23:53-25:38. He goes into crazy detail/preference over shockmounts... shockmounts!

boom op seems like a stressful job! it actually seems more difficult than the acting itself.

The good thing is that there is a dedicated person to worry about sound in the middle of the set action.
