I appreciate this guy's review. Seems like he really actually uses sleep buds unlike a lot of other reviewers out there, so he understands the way actual users like to use them. And battery life is super important. I hope they release a new version with better battery.

Living in Kyiv (Ukraine), my nights have become increasingly difficult due to persistent rocket noise. In search of some respite, I turned to Sleep A10 buds. These advanced sleep buds have become an essential tool in my quest for uninterrupted sleep amid the harsh realities of my environment. I'm thankful for this technology which helps provide some normalcy in these challenging times

Spot on about battery issue. Lasts even less, about 4 hrs in music mode trying to mask noises.
@SuperBigDog2U

I had same issue, with my Bose Sleepbuds II, after about a year, I would find the left ear bud cutting out at about 7-8hrs and the right one at 9hrs, and has gotten shorter ever since. It's very distracting for my sleep for the sound to just stop while sleeping, and that ends up waking me up. The Bose were over double the cost when I bought them of the now available Soundcore A10, before Soundcore came out with their version. My Bose are dying so I'm gonna give the A10's a shot and have them on order directly from Anker/Soundcore hoping for a current firmware ver/fresh battery on them for best results.

loved your comment about the marching ant! I'm right there with you sir! thank you for an open, objective, clear & detailed review. have a lady living above me that makes noise all night long. loud footsteps, opening & slamming drawers, using machinery that sounds like a car idling. she's working from home and using her bedroom space for production of some sort. have filed numerous complaints over the years, finally recorded it and took to rental office. it's a lot better, but still, you know how it is fellow light sleeper. sorry to go on. enjoyed your review!

Honestly and as an audiophile, I am really happy with sound quality and this coming from a guy who daily drives with a set of IEM’S with the FIIO Bluetooth dac. Not sure if you have a good seal or what but the sound is very full and satisfying. Granted that the Bluetooth codec is only acc but really don’t hear the pixelization associated with low quality codec. It took some playing with the different ear tips and hooks to get a proper seal and what worked for me was the wingless silicon cover with the biggest ear tips in the box. Seal never breaks even with my movements at night and sleeping on my side. All in all, for the size, the sound is incredibly big and full. I turned the bass down as I like a balanced sound.

The best middle ground option would be for the ear buds in sleep mode to do some sort of time based on/off. Turn on for a couple hours while I get to sleep. Pause for a bit. Turn on again after... X hours (configurable?). May be something the app itself could control (vs internal logic in the earbuds?). Reading it does adaptive volume control based on the noise level around you - while sleeping - seems... odd, as constantly monitoring for noise levels would seem to require battery usage.
@RawansReviews
Жыл бұрын
Very valid point regarding constantly monitoring for noise levels--hence why I'm skeptical about this feature, but no way for me test it out. Great suggestion to turn on after x hours, but doubt they would implement something like this. Also, not sure if suddenly turning white noise back on after periods of silence could potentially wake some people up? But then could possibly gradually increase the volume to ease your brain into accepting this new noise.. Good ideas! :D
@Sig509

Yeah, as an optional mode that might be fine. Afterall they have to be small to co comfortable, and that limits the size (as you can only go as far with power efficiency). Them cutting off after 7 hours is bad, because it is in the morning that noise increases. Fpor them to be off between like 1-4 am when in most places it is the most silent would be probably enough for most people, and would allow to have these extra 3 hours of power in the morning. You would still have also the passive noise reduction, so even between these hours you would have some protection. Anyway A20 are going to be soon avaliable and I am wondering what ara @RawansReviews your opinions on it.

I've been using them for almost a year now and I'm disappointed by three issues. Battery life and the connexion quality. Left earbuds tends to lose connection when I take some positions. But the biggest issue for me is the fact that when music is off, its passive noise cancelling is very weak and I can ear birds singing at 5.00 am which wakes me up. 😢 I agree they are very comfortable and offer a decent sound quality.

It seems to be a problem of incentive - ppl just started caring about their sleep more and more recently and it will be another 5 to 10 years for the latest sleep research to starting trickling down to social value level where sleep quality, sleep hygiene and it's actual quality of life impact is omnipresent. I also have an issue with the state of this kind of tech and would love to see a Bose level quality of product on with the same functionality as the A10 sleep but for now this is a compromise left and right ...

The battery life on these are a problem as they need to last at least 6 hours - white noise is fine.... and who knows when the Ozlo ones will be shipped to Australia and the A20's will come out. I am just looking for something to buy now.

I am wondering if we can just wear normal earpods with ANC to sleep instead? Such as the airpods pro 2? Since the battery life would be longer and the noise cancellation still works even if you are not listening to anything?
@RawansReviews
2 ай бұрын
Could possibly work if you're strictly a back sleeper. But if you sleep on your sides at all, AirPods or other buds are not comfortable at all; they protrude out of your ear, will definitely poke you, and likely fall off during sleep. But, again, if you sleep on your back, then give it a try, might work out!

I understand that 8 hours battery life is nice to have, but as these do NOT have ANC anyway, where is the difference when waking up for a pee at 5am? I use standard JBL at the moment, and if the battery on ONE of them is out, the ANC is being turned OFF for both of them. That is annyoing. But if no ANC, no harm done?

Incoming calls do not ring in the earphones, which is great IMO. I have had some very rude awakenings using ordinary earbuds when sleeping. I have been using mine for a week and the battery life is fine, 3/5 bars after 7-8 hours.

These are specifically designed to be worn while sleeping. That means they have a very small profile and do not protrude from your ear, so you can comfortable sleep on your side.

@RawansReviews

I no long have these to confirm, but you should be able to connect them to any Bluetooth source. You need the app for configuration. Beyond that, you should be able to configure a touch gesture to switch to Bluetooth mode and then connect a PS5 or a TV. Again--don't have them anymore to confirm, but if my memory serves me well, this should be the case!

As an end user, that's not really my problem. Buds designed for sleep should _at least_ last the full duration of sleep. It's on the engineers to figure out how to do that; hardware optimizations, layout changes, bigger battery and accepting a slightly larger design, software optimizations possibly, I don't know, and not my place to know.

@@RawansReviews hahaha thats funny. "As an end user" who wants what is not yet available, but complains about it. Its supposed to fit INSIDE the ear so you can sleep on your side. Hence tiny size and consequent constraints in performance at todays technical capabilities. My Landcruiser V12 is awesome to drive, but drinks fuel. Welcome to life. Get over it or go to sleep and wake up in 5 years

@@RawansReviews oh and one other thing. They are supposed to put you to sleep. Studies show noise DURING sleep reduces the quality of sleep. If you have not fallen asleep by the time the batteries die you have a bigger problem... Over 6 hours with their sleep sounds and over 3 hours I get with normal music
