As a Doctor, according to my observation, the sleep earbuds showcased exhibit impressive features. However, considering that individuals wear these earbuds for extended periods during sleep, there arises a concern regarding the potential development of ear infections. It would have been advantageous if the manufacturers had incorporated self-cleaning technology within the earbud case, similar to LG's utilization of UV lights in their earbud cases to effectively clean the earbuds. By implementing such a feature, users could maintain hygienic conditions and mitigate the risk of infections associated with prolonged usage.

I bought these yesterday as a replacement for my Bose Sleepbuds II. I prefer the Bose primarily because of the quality of sound produced by the speakersand for the noise-masking sounds they offer that I feel are of a higher quality. Also, the Bose is more comfortable in my ear when I'm side-sleeping. That said, the Bose have become problematic after 2 years. I am sending them in for a second time in under 5 months. When I get them back, I'll use them until they start failing again. Then, I'll switch to the Soundcore again. I'm hoping Bose comes out with a Sleepbuds 3 to fix the various issues the last iteration has encountered. Happy sleeping!

As someone who has owned both Bose sleepbuds and this. The biggest issue with this is the battery life, it barely lasts 6 -7 hours tops while Bose sleep buds easily goes for 10 hours or more. In terms of comfort the Bose is slightly better but this isn’t far behind. Where this thing shines is the ability to play music off your phone unlike Bose’s which purely plays the preset sounds in its app. If you are just looking for something to help you sleep in noisy environments , I personally think the Bose sleepbuds are just slightly better . But if you need something more versatile you can’t do no worse with this.

The smart sound feature doesn't utilize the earbuds for adjustment. It states in the manual and app that the A10's do NOT have microphones in them. It actually uses the microphones on your phone via the app (which is why the app asks for microphone permissions) to measure the ambient sound in your room. If the feature is not working for you, then the app may not have mic permissions or might not be placed in an optimal position to measure the sounds near your head accurately. Unfortunately since it does it this way, I don't use that feature, as it seems to be pretty bad at measuring the sound this way. I get wild fluxuations in the measurements so it causes the sound to go up and down and it really jolts me out of my sound sleep :(

Thank you for a great review. I just ordered, your Save code was expired but the Soundcore site offered another on,e so that made the $$ expenditure a little better. I will come back after I get them and add info. I think my only concern is the battery life but that is the price you pay for the size and ability to wear them comfortably while sleeping. Your review is so good I already know how to setup the apps etc to get the most out of that battery life. I listen to audio books typically so hopefully the auto sleep shutoff will help to extend the time. I can't wait to stop switching ears with my wired set and my poor phone can stop hitting the floor every morning when I forget one side is tucked into my shirt front. I've gone through 3 sets of wired in the last year so I might as well invest in the real deal, I sleep listening to books every night and my ability to fall asleep and get 8 hours has improved a LOT. I think these will be even better. Thank you

That’s in sleep mode, all smarts turned off, not connected to Bluetooth, and at 50% volume only, as per Ankers advice…….I am really sceptical that anyone is getting the advertised 10 hours unless there are inconsistencies in the batteries being used when these are built. I would even be happy at 8 hours, but how can 6 hours be acceptable for a product that is supposed to help you get a good nights sleep? Please advise if you think I am missing something here, or doing something wrong, because this set are also going back if I can’t solve this. Thank you.

For sleep buds, I use the Bose Sleepbuds II and was looking at these because Bose have unfortunately discontinued them. I was fairly impressed right up until 13:37 where it says 'No' to Smart Noise Masking, for me that's the ONLY think that matters with sleep buds, I don't want to listen to music or podcasts while I'm actually asleep, seems to defeat the object, I just don't want to hear my wife in full on snoring mode so ANC or noise masking is number one priority 🙂

I have since purchased the soundcore A10 since the reviews were good but I’m also disappointed in these as well due to the lack of volume and poor range of sleep sounds compared to Bose. If anyone has a better alternative type of sleeping earplug similar to the Bose sleepbuds let me know. Thank you

Thank you! Yes I do, and actually they were the earbuds I was semi-using for sleep too beforehand. One of the best small pairs of earbuds I’ve used. Better sound quality than the Soundcore sleep A10 and has ANC/Transparency. But still not as small, light and comfortable as the Sleep A10. You think the comfobuds mini are small and comfy…and then you try the A10s. You can lay directly on your ears with the sleep A10s and not really the minis - so I can see why a dedicated sleep ear bud is still better. No sleep-specific features either with those (but obviously not designed as sleep buds either)

So the testing is done and basically you have to make sure you do not have any bluetooth connected to the buds for them to last the night. Close the sliding lid on the buds case, turn off the adaptive sound that increases the sound level based on sounds in the room, and make sure the app is closed on the phone and not running in the back ground. I did keep the first ones I bought and use them each night with only the sleep sounds on. They will last most nights 8 hours. I still think they are worth it for the price. I have tried to play music with the auto option to turn on sleep mode when you go to sleep and this has worked flawlessly. however you only get 6 or so hours of use. My routine is to put the buds in , open the app on my phone, start sleep mode, close the app , close the sliding case on the buds and sleep away. Good luck!

The Bose are way too expensive for something so limited. My main issue is being woken in the morning as people in other rooms or neighbours wake up and start stomping around and banging doors. I used to sleep through that kind of thing but now I am waken early on a daily basis. If I can't set the audio to fade up at a certain time of morning then they are useless. I wouldn't expect to be able to reply on automatic sound detection for them to activate and that would drain the battery anyway. The alarm being so limited is another pointless feature. If they are aimed at improving the quality of your sleep then having an alarm that gradually rises in volume is an obvious inclusion. If I was worriesd about the alarm not sounding or the battery dying I could easily have a loud alarm set on my phone at a slightly later time…. It's so hard to find a pair of sleep earbuds that look like they would be comfortable and have basic features and options that would help people with the various sleep disturbances they they suffer from.
@paullane4797
Жыл бұрын
You have obviously never actually tried to sleep in these A10. The earbuds actually disconnect completely from the phone / app when in sleep mode meaning that the volume button on the phone doesn't work. This means you're at the complete mercy of the smart volume in the sleep sounds which will increase and decrease without warning forcing you into a hurricane of rain noise that you cannot turn down!
@insidetechltd
Жыл бұрын
Yep, as I said in the review I've slept multiple times with these. Also specifically point out that the earbuds are disconnected from your phone in sleep mode and that there's a separate volume slider in the app you'll need to set the volume on first. You can disable smart noise masking to stop the volume levels fluctuating

That is basically it, yes. Some people enjoy 1) physically blocking out disturbing sounds in your environment with the ear tips. And 2) listening to the consistent ambient sound from the earbuds can help with a peaceful, uninterrupted night's sleep too. It's like a distraction for your brain. The earbuds would also mask sounds like a loud car going past or some other noise that might have otherwise woken you up. In my experience, don't bother at all with the quoted dB measurements. If you ever look into how the data was actually obtained, the testing process can vary wildly and often isn't sufficient to provide a reliable claim. It can be two completely different tests and therefore the numbers can't be compared side by side. I've tested earbuds from the same companies before where one earbud with a poorer ANC quote performs better than their new model with a higher one - it almost means nothing at all in real world use. With my personal use though, the Soundcore Sleepbuds did actually block more noise than Bose's buds - their double-flanged ear tip design blocked my ear canals more
