From what I've gotten, the improvements to these headphones are clearer sound quality, higher volume, better mics and the mich better folding design. Considering that sound can be adjusted by the EQ and that I use earbuds when on the road so calls won't be a problem, I'll still go for the non pro Space One headphones; especially because of the price🙌

As usual, the best review. Find it hard to believe (like you) that they took away the wear detection, and one other neg you didn't mention: they maintain the Soundcore tradition of making headphones that make the wearer look like Princess Leia! (I got that comment so often with the Q45s, I began to not wear them..)

I've mentioned it in other reviews, but scrapping wear-detection (regardless if people use it or not - I don't) & tap-to-talk & not having a proper case make these overpriced & not worthy of the "Pro" label.

I feel like simply having wear detection would be the one thing needed to completely change the minds of a lot of people on these. At least they are offering a proper case free right now, but I agree it should come in the box along with the pouch

I think the terms "Pro" and "Ultra" are now being overly being misapplied.What is pro aboit this,even the Q35s which have wearing detection,NFC pairing,touch for transparency,a full case and even an airplane adaptor plus in-line 3.5 Aux cable for calls and all the goodies self didnt claim the name Pro how then does this degraded crap being called pros?.

It's simple, just the direction of companies and greed. All companies will take this path without exception, using names, reducing accessories, removing everything that can be removed, and raising the price twice.

@insidetechltd

It’s difficult because I’d say the bass isn’t super tight and punchy, but to say it’s “boomy” would do a disservice to it. It’s a deep and full-sounding bass with good sub bass. But it’s still controlled and doesn’t boom to levels of distortion nor muddy the sound

I’m still wondering if I should pick these up. I have the Q45’s and they work pretty well. Do you think the sound quality is worth the upgrade? I remember you said this is there best yet.
@insidetechltd
6 күн бұрын
As with any upgrades, if you have something that works and you like already...why upgrade? If it's going to be worth it to you, I think you need to identify something you actively don't like about your current headphones that you want to be better. Otherwise you're just upgrading for the sake of it. I think these are the best yet, but I wouldn't recommend most people upgrade from a Q45

Hello to you. Great informative and interesting video as always. Got a question for you. I've been trying to find a pair of headphones within my budget that keep my ears cool. Of all the over-ear headphones you have tested in the last year or so under 200$ US, which ones would you consider the best for that purpose. A top 3 list would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :-)
@theanorakchannel2496

I have recently bought a set of ear pads which claim to be filled with cooling gel. They certainly really help! Not for these headphones specifically though, mine were for an old pair of very battered Jabra elite 85 H It’s unfortunate but I don’t think Jabra make over ear headphones anymore, as these were extremely good for the price I paid for them and I’ve had them about four years now.
@insidetechltd
15 күн бұрын
Thank you! So yes i'd agree that some cooling gel ear cushions might be the way to go! The sponsor in the previous video actually supplies those, but not to many headphones at the moment - i'm sure other companies would too. Edifier offers fantastic cooling ear cushions in their premium Stax series - I love those. Quite a bit over $200 though. So after that, I guess it would be just be about headphones with a low clamping force and large, spacious earcups that give your ears room to cool/not heat as much. Sony's ULT Wear would be good for that, these Soundcore headphones would be too. I can see about working on a top 3 though!

@@insidetechltd Thanks for your quick reply. That top 3 video would be very useful to many I think, since I suspect many of us choosing to go with earbuds out of spite specifically due to that disadvantage with headphones. 2:30 😅Believe me, sometimes if something works well, just do not try to fix it or go outside the box. This may be the reason for me not buying them. Increased moving parts. Difficulty in replacing. Increased chance of failure. More friction for the pads. Greater thickness. I do not see the point of this. Many will use this at home. Or offices, not for travel. Companies cannot do anything without putting something in place that seals a deal
@madpanda9883

Regarding to the carry pouch, it’s not to make it travel friendly. It would be if they don’t end up selling actual case. Create a problem and provide a solution for a cost
@insidetechltd
12 күн бұрын
It's a difficult one to say for sure, but you could be right. They've centred the whole of the marketing around solving this one problem they've identified: travel. I think a real 'Pro' move though would've been to supply the hard case as standard AND the pouch for easy travel

Space One Pro or Sony Ult Wear? Which one is better in terms of sound quality.

I have these ranked next to each other currently - so it's very close. I've put soundcore ahead for now though simply because they're not as bass-heavy. Sony needs a lot more work to fix the sound, but of course it's down to personal preference

@@insidetechltd I just tested Sony Ult Wear, Sony XM5, Sony XM4, and Sony CH720n at my local store and I can say without any hesitation and against all odds that the best sounding Sony headset was Sony Ult Wear and my ranking is as follows: 1- Sony Ult Wear 2- XM5 3- XM4 4- CH720n I was extremely surprised by the Ult Wear and my disappointment was immeasurable by the XM5 and XM4. There's no fucking way that these headsets deserve that price point. After trying them out I immediately bought the Sony Ult Wear for $185 P.S. Space One and Space One Pro were not available at my local store. However, I tried the Soundcore Q45 and it's not even comparable to the CH720n. The sound quality feels cheap af.

Missing is any PC application. Why should smartphone wearers have a huge advantage from those who want to use the headphones with a PC? Thus, why can't one use the ?headphones equally with the smartphone AND PC? Not fair.
@insidetechltd
15 күн бұрын
I guess the industry angle is that everyone has a smartphone now, not everyone has a PC for their headphones. Developing a PC app isn't worth the investment. So you could simply change the settings you like on your phone and then these will carry over when you use them on PC. You can even use multipoint to pair to both at once, have the app on your phone but listen on the PC
@Noir_Baa

I said this before, and I'll say it again. Wear detection is such a dumb omission on these. If you're going to put "Pro" in your product, like other companies do, it needs to actually live up to that claim. That word has already lost all substance by being recklessly thrown around and attached to so many mediocre devices in reality that offer anything but pro value. Omitting such a basic, yet incredibly useful feature like wear detection is another swing and a miss against a pro product. It looks like Soundcore is hesitant to implement such a feature on their headphones. The Q35 had wear detection, but it received a lot of backlash for being horrible...only for them to leave wear detection out of the Q45, include it on the Space One, and leave it out of these headphones. I get the notion of offering a travel-friendly case, but protecting the device should take priority. That early adopter nonsense, especially that awful Airpods Max-like "case", isn't it. No one should have to buy some actual protection for their headphones, which is what people will have to do with these headphones in the future. Hard cases are the norm. There's no need to "fix" that. Beyond all of that, I'd bite if I wasn't spoiled by wear detection being such a convenient norm nowadays. A $200 "Pro" product SHOULD have this simple feature. It would be nice if these companies stopped flipping coins with these features and just standardize them...especially when they are basic and definitive features that should already be a part of the product. It's not necessary to treat every feature like a premium one...or one that you just inexplicably omit.
