Damn these are the smoother sounding DC motors of the uk. The 455s would have been better off using these traction systems as opposed to their post ww2 traction since they are OOOOLD.

They were supposed to be replaced by the 345s, but like most aventras that's yet to fully happen

@@SamT I seriously dont understand why they chose to replace these tanks of british engineering with some plastic containers on wheels from asda... they could have just refurbished the 315s and the 313s but instead, they just believe that new is always better smh

The class 315 units that were with London Overground have been replaced by class 710s, the surplus 315s have been cascaded to TfL Rail to help with the teething issues the 345s had on introduction

@@SamT this is due to the their acceleration being the speed of light so they stick around till lizzy line goes fulll operational

@@Theutmostgeek Too much money to keep old stock going. The price to implement digital signalling to PEP’s over new stock would be immense.
