SoundTraxx decoders are designed with you in mind. We have packed tons of sounds and features into our decoders so you can have the most realistic model railroading experience possible. One of these features is volume control.
Our decoders have several features associated with volume control. In this video, George talks about Master Volume Control (CV 128), Primary Mixer Volume Control (CVs 129-160), and Alternate Mixer Volume Controls (CVs 2.289-2.320).
Master Volume Control (CV 128) CV 128 is used to set the volume level of all sound channels
Primary Mixer Volume Controls (CVs 129-160) are used in conjunction with CV 128 (Master Volume) to set the volume level of each sound effect.
Alternate Mixer Volume Controls (CVs 2.289-2.320) are used to set the alternate volume levels of each sound effect.
Watch now to learn how these features work together to let you set up the sound profile for your locomotive, your way!
*Note: The CVs listed here are for Tsunami2 Digital Sound Decoders. Econami and SoundCar Digital Sound Decoders have similar volume CVs and features, but the CVs vary slightly as these decoders are not as robust as the Tsunami2 line.
