A Blessed Easter Sunday to you & your family, Bonita 🌷🐇✝💒. Perfect day here, the temp will hit 70, 🪺☀. This bread looks so moist & delicious. I'm going to be demonstrating how to make bread here at my ON nursing home soon. Residents asked for something Italian after our outing to a local Italian restaurant (heaping bowls of linguine carbonara 🍝🥓😋) so I was going to make focaccia. But I got to thinking such a chewy bread would be a problem for us old people with our missing teeth & dentures 😮🫢. Instead, I'll be making the softest, silkiest, faintly sweet bread I've ever tasted-Japanese Milk Bread. It's unusual in that you start by cooking a mixture of milk & flour on the stovetop until it forms a very thick roux & finish the top with an egg wash before baking. I'll try to send some photos-if it turns out OK😉

Bonita you must be the best bread maker I have ever seen. I like how you always brings us step by step through bread making. You always make me feel like baking bread after I see you share your recipe and tips. Oh really neat baking in the cast iron pan. I learned how to look after my cast iron through you. I love making bread and it have been a blessing to be able to show all our viewers the love of bread making and so many different types of bread out there. Every time I use my cast Iron pan I think of my Dad. That pan is over 60 years old and its very important to keep it well looked after for sure. This was a cheap mixer I got on amazon for $100.00 ca dollars and I didn't show the name because we didn't do a review and I can't say it's the best. But it do help me from time to time in the kitchen. But the name is kuppet stand up mixer. Have a lovely day. Thank you for stopping by. :) Bonita

Hi what would change if I was to use strong bread flour instead of all purpose? Also, what can I use instead of the oil? Those oils don't agree with me.

Looks delicious. Bonita, some time can you talk about how you care for your cast iron pan. I recently bought one and am not sure how to maintain it properly after washing it. Do you rub it with a certain oil and a piece of waxed paper or what is your process. Thank you in advance.

I have talked about how to look after your case iron pan on a few videos. But after you hand wash ONLY the food off, pour some oil in it and rub all around the pan inside and out. Put a piece of parchment paper in the middle and place in your pan cupboard until next time. Never leave any water in the pan it will rust, put it back on the warm stove top and dry. Then oil the pan. Have a lovely day :) Bonita
