I'm glad I found this. This is a HUGE help. Between turning the micro adjuster and ball placement, you just made life much better on the field.

Best video I've seen on this machine! Didn't know how much ball orientation mattered for height. Thanks!

Played then eventually coached LL back when Lincoln was POTUS, now, dusting off the cleats to play old guy ASA/USA ball and this tool looks to be the answer for Spring BP. Data looks to be transferable to .52/300 12" with a bit of honing - your valuable input greatly appreciated - Its been my experience ball is an excellent teacher for addressing life's twists n turns - bravo to all who make the effort to keep this training alive, Cheers!

I just ordered the pro version and right from the start I plan to drill two 5/16" holes about 1" beside the ground stake holes that are already in the front stake bar then use 6-8" ground stakes along with the factory stakes to ensure it will not move backward/forward or side to side

I always wondered what the guy that films school fights was doing later in life. 😂 Also just kidding. Thanks for the video. Huge help

Isn't your definition of the 2 seam sinker, at 4:50, really a 4 seam fastball position? I believe it is. The 4 seam pitches great on this machine.

If this is Southlake TX, major leaguers live there, may be time for a real pitching machine.

2 seam or 4 seam, his video is better than Lousville's, in other words, give this guy a sponsor.

How do you get the coaches to buy in to this concept? :)

this machine was supposed to be throwing 4seam fastballs, not 2. Your micro adjuster is up way too high. I bought mine and within the first bucket, adjusted to throw to the same spot, every time. Now we're up to using it with sliders/cutters. We can get some kids to chase, it's pretty funny

Hi I just bought one for my coach pitch and kid pitch (9-10) team. I’d also want to use it for my 11-12 team to practice sliders etc. Can you please send me any feedback (ball orientation etc) that’ll help me figure out how to do this? Curtis dot Fraser at gmail dot com

Great video. Can you elaborate on the ball types? You said LC5. But what about others I see like ROLB1Y, etc? All the literature just says "works with all ball types". I guess more specifically, for our 8U team, what options of balls could we use on this for a consistency stand point?

It will take basically any ball from little league to professional baseballs to softballs. For more consistent accuracy you want to set the machine up with one type of ball and stick with that ball style for the session. If you use different kinds of balls with different weights and materials mixed together it will significantly negatively effect the accuracy of the unit. I keep 1 or 2 older scuffed up balls in my bucket and every time it throws those old baseballs they sail 2 feet high every time.

Old balls that are in poor shape or different style baseballs made of different materials inside or out being used together will effect the accuracy of this machine. The more alike the balls you use the more consistently accurate this machine will be. Another thing that can effect accuracy is if the operator begins removing weight from the pedal before the pitching cycle fully completes. Even just a small let off of the pedal at the end with your foot can effect ball velocity and accuracy. I was doing this last one and it took me a bit to realize I was not keeping my foot solidly planted down.

Just now researching this equipment and have heard similar comments - thinking of purchasing for boomer ball BP and thought I'd just either replace with longer spikes or drill some new holes and/or `adapt' with greater lengths as well

I don't think you understand your fastballs. The way you positioned is a sinker and 4 seam is straight--exact opposite of what you said and it drives me nuts when I see coaches repeat what you did in this video
