Not everyone want that super spacious home and land... not everyone wants to live far out... some just want to be in a community, feel safe, and be convenient to everything with ease!

More communities should follow this lead! Those homes are lovely! The community will thrive! That means more money being spent in that area! Everyone benefits! I've heard talk of a similar community being built near me! I hope to see it come to fruition!

That just doesn't sound right. And you can get an apartment in Atlanta for a little under $1,500.

This model could work for government housing to rent and the units could be scaled up for families. Low income people are not looking for palaces, but something well built and at an affordable price.

No one cares what this does to the lower middle class ppl who could afford the 2 bedroom townhouse next door to this complex that use to rent for 1042.00 a month. Now they pushed everyone out to collect market rate rent which is as he said 1500.00. I’m who I am talking about. Yet the crime is still the same, the area is still over crowded and congested. And has a HIGH number of homeless or (hotel) families.

Gentrification is the culprit.

'Now they pushed everyone out to collect market rate rent which is as he said 1500.00.' No "he" didn't. The reporter said the average rent is in Metro Atlanta is about $2,000 per month. The mortgage on those tiny homes is about $1,500 per month. That is a saving of $500 per month on a property that you OWN.

Annnd 9 months later they’re falling apart. Overpriced and underbuilt. When you jump on the “black owned business” bandwagon without taking a closer look at what you’re buying, you deserve what you get.

@@t.t.7967 Just one the complaints about this development as of a month ago.. May of 2023, I made a cash purchase of a South Park Cottage Tiny Home from developer ************************************. However, upon arrival to pick up the keys, I found only dirt where the home should have stood. Despite granting extensions and goodwill, the excuses halted my move-in date until Nov. 2023. Upon move-in I've experienced nothing but construction defects. Major issues ranged from electrical (non-labeled circuit box and miswires) failure to install flashing caused flooding and damaged flooring, a hazardous balcony (which is in the process of its third rebuild), poor insulation, restricted access to the **** unit, placement of tankless hot-water system poses a safety hazard (the system is outside) which has resulted in three malfunctioning systems, a non-functioning fire sprinkler system and adding injury to insult the home failed current home inspection on April 16, 2024. My experience has been riddled with difficulties. Its impossible to sell the home in this state of condition. It was later discovered ************************ withheld information and did not disclose the community is built on one shared waterline. This modern community shares one water bill with 29 units. Each unit is billed $75 monthly along with $200 monthly HOA fee. The management of HOA, ************************ himself has been marked with irregularities, unethical practice and lack of transparency, with residents subjected to arbitrary fees and rules without representation. Despite my attempts to address these issues and the integrity of the development process. ************************ has shown denial of negligence and shifted repair responsibility to the homeowners.Im seeking this resolve before moving forward to council. Im requesting a full Refund of the amount paid of $206,791.50.
