Earlier this week the invasive Eurasian Milfoil Dive Team was out at Deer Lake. I had the opportunity to spend some time with them on their barge, comparing notes, plant samples, and control strategies.
They report that one of the most difficult places to work is the shore between Wanakiwin and Tamarack bay. The shore is shallow, the docks are long, and the milfoil is growing right up to the shore.
It is very difficult and time consuming to get the barge into those areas.
That's where you and I are going to help out today. We are going to snorkel the mile and a half shoreline, shallow, between the docks looking for any stragglers they might have missed.
Enjoy...
