during 2011 and 2012 Southern railway 280 number 630 operated trips from Chattanooga Tennessee to Knoxville and all the way to Alcoa it did not need any diesel assistance because it would run by itself without a diesel The engine last ran without a diesel in 2013 and in 2014 she would need a diesels for this assistance when she was rebuild she operated mainline trips but generally they were with diesel assistance The locomotive was restored in 2010 and it was back in service by 2011 Southern railway 4501 was under restoration in 2011 and she was about to get ready to go too Southern railway 630 last operated in 1989 and then it was pulled out of service today the engine can now be found on the Tennessee valley Railroad museum train track trackage and apparently oddly on the line to Summerville Georgia for special excursions sometimes she's usually by her cell but she also has another steam locomotive that usually helps her for these trips as well
